While one young college student has made headlines after she disappeared, dozens of children have gone missing in the same state.
A young University of Iowa student made headlines recently after she disappeared during an evening jogbut she is just one of the dozens of people who have been reported missing in Iowa in the last 10 days, and the overwhelming majority of the disappearances are children.
Mollie Tibbetts, 20, has become the latest face of the missing person database this week after she was last seen going for a jog near her boyfriends house on the evening of July 18, and she seemingly vanished. Dozens of people of have pitched in to help search for the college student, and as she appeared to have no motive to flee, and her closest friends and family members have cooperated with police, it raises troubling questions about whether she was abducted.
However, Tibbetts is not alone. According to the Missing Person database published by the Iowa Department of Public Safety, 48 people have gone missing in the last two weeks, and 34 of those people are children.

Sorry I questioned it as I just went to the article what gave more details, rather interesting.....
More Fake News from the Liberal Media!
kids aren’t stupid
they just saw their governor lying again on the boobtoob, is all
time to get OUT of this place!
.s
agreed, this story is weird as heck.
Thanks. In many articles “children” are 18 and older...it is most confusing...
Complete b.s. except for the disappearance of Tibbetts. The number of children every year abducted and killed by strangers is a few dozen, tops. And that’s counting kid up to age 18, which means most of this few dozen are teenage prostitutes, gang members, etc. You can let your kid play outside; there’s never been a safer time in history to be a kid.
In the immortal words of Ronaldus Magnus, “trust, but verify.”
Stay home, its as simple as that.
“Well, you know, theyre just Kids from The Heartland.”
I know your post was sarcasm, but you do have a point. Iowa’s population pretty much consists of blonde, blue-eyed people. I don’t know the pizza-related lingo to describe that, but it could be that complexion is desirable in certain nefarious circles.
I’m thinking of that little Madeline who went missing in the island where the Podestas were visiting. A blondie.
Where have the Clintons and Podestas been traveling recently? Are they in an ice cream truck with puppies?
Well, when people ask me if I have any children I say "Yes", and they're in their thirties and forties. In one sense, all those who disappeared are children. Not that putting it that way would be good reporting.
I spent my first year on FR thrilled with all those following paragraphs and the super-intelligent comments of FReepers fleshing out the complete story. Those were the days.
Not even popped up in google news feed. SEX TRAFFICKING RING in operation is the most likely reason. Given the ages, and 18 or 20 are Adults not children.
Media seems to forget that fact. So when they disappear different laws for reporting are used.
Is that a serious question?
Law Enforcement either has no clue or they are covering for someone(s). The best way is to keep it out of the news. Otherwise people may call in tips, etc...
Teenagers, all within a 3 year range in age. Be nice to know what else they habe in common...
I know. There are nefarious forces afoot, IMHO. I hate to be a Conspiracy theory Tin-Hat Wearer, but sometimes it fits!
A bad situation, but most of these “children” are in their mid to late teens. Referring to the missing as children makes the story seem even more ominous. Hopefully most are returning home after a day or two of rebellion.
Fire in the Sky ?
Sounds like the Muslim sex gangs in England.
