"The Hudson River School was a mid-19th century American art movement embodied by a group of landscape painters whose aesthetic vision was influenced by Romanticism. The paintings for which the movement is named depict the Hudson River Valley and the surrounding area, including the Catskill, Adirondack, and White Mountains; eventually works by the second generation of artists associated with the school expanded to include other locales in New England, the Maritimes, the American West, and South America."--Wikipedia

I was going to look up and include the artists' names, and also number each painting for easy referrence, but it quickly became too much work, at least at the moment.
And not all may be by Hudson River School painters, though most are. The founder of the school was Thomas Cole. His are the first three. They are the only ones I listed the artist for.
Need a good sleep about now. So, I hope you can enjoy them just as they are. :)

You’re welcome. My favorite HRS artists, of the ones I’m familiar with, are Albert Bierstadt, Edwin Church, and Thomas Duran. But, as you both I’m sure know, there are many other incredible landscape painters associated with this school.

I always admired Church’s work. My grandfather was the same kind of painter but he died young before he could be recognized. We have one of his paintings, there are a few others out there, but where?

The images are wonderful, but seeing any of these HRS paintings in person is breathtaking. It is hard to believe that human hands created these beautiful images (well they are reflecting God's creation). It truly is a "lost art".

It’s even more amazing that these places exist in the natural world.

Its even more amazing that these places exist in the natural world.Although there certainly are many breathtaking landscapes in the real world, some of these they say are 'composite' images of various different locations.

No doubt, although abstract art covers a humongous range of styles, some of which I like. However, nothing comes close to this stuff, IMO.
