Just kidding! I live/work on a farm. Plenty of fresh air and sunshine year-round. I’m a good sleeper. :)
My Mom has Meniere’s. It is really debilitating! She came to stay with me last week, had an attack and slept for over 12 hours straight.
She does Chiropractic care, head & neck exercises, low salt and plenty of sleep. She is 81 and going strong, otherwise. She uses Z-quil to make sure she sleeps well, but I’ll suggest she try Melatonin, if she hasn’t already.
For me? Melatonin gives me really vivid dreams, so it’s not a good fix for me, though I have little trouble sleeping. Luckily. For now! :)
I have meneire’s disease. I don’t think its actually a disease but rather a malfunction in the inner ear. There’s too much water.
The ringing in my ears is pretty heavy. I’m 65. The ringing only started in earnest a couple of years ago. I’m praying its not progressive. Meneires people say meneire’s is not progressive.
I take 3-5 mg of melatonin before bed. It helps me sleep. I also have the wide screen tv’s playing seashore or cicada night or rainy night sounds as I sleep.
Thanks for the tip on Sulpride.
Sulpiride sounds like a salt. Is it? Where do you get it.
It requires a prescription in the US.

Meet the drug it’s an anti-depression one. https://pharmacybook.net/sulpiride/
Seeing a lot of these Baking Soda and whatever added to it. Don’t believe everything you read in them. It will cure everything snake oil...
CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?
TINNITUS RING LIST!.......................
“I have been taking melatonin for many years, 3 mg. Spring Valley brand, about 90 minutes before I go to bed. It definitely helps me sleep, and my tinnitus is no longer a significant problem unless I take ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or a few other things.”
I occasionally take 3mg of melatonin for sleep. IIRC my tinnitus is less of a problem when taking the melatonin.
I think I’ll start the melatonin on a regular basis to see how it works.
Good luck to all.
FWIW I have had no problems with the inexpensive Spring Valley melatonin. Natrol melatonin was OK. I did have problems with some of the other brands, including worsened tinnitus.
When I use it I use Spring Valley, cheapest Wal-Mart carries. I have half a bottle that I have used on and off.
Yesterday the ringing was maddening, took a melatonin last night and the ringing seems to have lessened a bit to just annoying.
I’ll see how it goes.
Thanks.
Good luck. While melatonin helped, I think the thing I did that most reduced my tinnitus was to stop taking ibuprofen for minor aches and pains.
I haven’t taken ibuprofen in years.
I do take kepra for seizures, lisinopril and something for cholesterol.
I use Aleve for my neuropathy.
Other than that I take nothing.
My dreams are already Vivid and in Color, I remember bits an pieces of them..
It’ s enough to scare my soul.
I have been like this since Childhood.
Tried the Melatonin...ugh.
I have just learned to live with it .. I avoid loud places, and I tell people up front that I have trouble hearing and that I am not being rude, I simply cannot hear.
