Since President Trump’s inauguration I’ve only turned my TV on to watch Roseanne. Count me out.

Wait...so it’s going to be all about how a family sticks together through thick and thin and whatever? Well...that’s ironic. No “we didn’t like what you said so we’re kicking you out of the family”? Why not call it the The Hypocrites?

Seems a lot of emphasis on “through love and laughter.”

10 episodes, sounds more like ABC is doing the right thing and giving a severance package. The only question is how many episodes will actually air.
It will bomb because liberals don’t understand the audience.
People didn’t watch a Roseanne reboot because of nostalgia. They watched it for the conservative working class ethos.
It is like liberals saying “Let’s run Oprah”, thinking people want a celebrity instead of an advocate for the working class and traditional American values.

Melissa Gilbert must have some serious horsepower with ABC because as an actress she isn’t all that. Good, but not great. She has a production credit for “Rosanne” and she’s a regular on that estrogen-fueled talk krewe. So who is persuaded that the Roseanne-less “Rosanne is going to do anything but fail?
Somehow, families persevere.
