In their never-ending effort to Balkanize America and buy black votes by stealing from all taxpayers, including black ones, the Democrats are reviving their call for reparations for slavery. After all, with blacks waking up to the fact that Democrats are doing nothing for them, a new bribe appears to be necessary.
Given that there are no living Americans who were slaves or who owned slaves, it's clear that the idea of reparations has nothing to do with justice or concern for blacks; it's just another political effort to bribe voters with other people's money – just like Paul Ryan trying to ensure the unending flow of Koch brothers money into Republican coffers by bringing in lots of cheap foreign labor.
But let's for a moment pretend that the whole idea of reparations for blacks, but not all the other groups who've been discriminated against, like, say, the Irish, makes sense.
The first question is, who should be paid? Obviously not blacks like Obama, who have not a drop of slave blood. The government would have to spend a fortune to find out what percentage of slave blood black Americans had to see how much each was owned. But it's worse than that. If someone is 50% white and 50% black slave ancestry, how much does white privilege offset the debt owed due to slavery?
Leftists will argue that since blacks have suffered persecution after slavery ended, all blacks should be reimbursed. That's an interesting point, so long as we ignore all the other "types" of Americans ranging from the Irish to the Japanese who have been persecuted, which we'll come back to in a bit.
The second question we'd need to ask is, who should pay?

The assumptive close?
There will be no further reparations.
If reparations are to be paid, they should be paid by the Democrat Party.
The Democrat Party fought the Civil War in order to keep slavery, when that failed, they created the KKK, poll taxes, grandfather laws, sundown laws, Jim Crow laws, etc.
RICO them, dissolve all assets and use the proceeds for reparations to citizens who can prove descent from Democrat slaves.
No one should pay reparations to anyone, period, unless it is linked to leaving the country, surrendering citizenship, and never returning.
Dismiss ANY talk of reparations.
European and African nations brought slavery here.
We, AMERICANS, ended slavery here, gave them rights and every opportunity that every OTHER American has.
Okay, just to see this go away, let’s give each black person whatever a six pack of Colt45 Malt Liquor costs or just a coupon for said six pack.
But... if we are going to go there; 300,000 white people were slaves too. They were called indentured servants at the time and they were usually worked into an early grave so every white person should also get that coupon for whatever. Let’s just give everyone $10 and never hear about this issue again.

Mind you, the U.S. government interned the Japanese and ran the natives off forcibly.

Show me one slave I’ve owned and I’ll pay. Otherwise leave me the heck alone about it.
Less than 10% of Southerners owned slaves in the 19th century, yet the race pimps want ALL modern honkies to pay reparations.
Good point bet few if any schools teach that fact the left works so hard to keep that data mum.
The good guys list 77 men a day in combat not counting sickness. The reparations bill has been paid in full a long time ago.

Reparations have been paid continuously since 1865........Enough I say! It is past time for them to get up on their hind legs and walk.
Of course, it shouldn’t be paid by anyone to anyone.
This country was founded on the principles of the enlightenment, which included recognition of the individual—not group, class, or race-based obligations and punishment.
