Frankly-- I loved the Rose Tico character. I think that Laura Dern is a fine actress who played a stupid character. But the story sucked. It made no sense on several levels. They totally botched having Benicio Del Toro in their useless side story. Poe Dameron should have been thrown out of an airlock for mutiny. Rey is a Mary Sue Character. They turned Luke Skywalker into a whimpering pussy and totally dissed the lore of the Jedi order. Rose's sister is dead (after her Stranglovian demise) because the idiots in the Resistance ditched Y-wing bombers for lumbering targets that were explosive clay pigeons.

It's not the skin color or the sex of the characters, it's the crappy writing and direction. Remember, fan boys loved Samuel J. Jackson as Mace Windu.

Then there is the SJW crap. I was afraid to go find out why some idiot said that Lando Calrissian was pansexual. What was in the story of the new movie that even raised that question? And if there was no such thing, why bring it up at all?

I loved Star Wars, but it was already ruined by the Ewoks and the prequels.

Rian Johnson dug the franchise an even deeper grave.

I'm hoping that a few years from now the average person will not know the answer to the question "What is Star Wars?" and that no one will go to Disneyland or Disneyworld specifically to see Star Wars Land or whatever they heck they are calling it.

Rian Johnson brought us Looper which was a hoot. If he destroys Disney then he should be promoted for sainthood.

Really most of the big Star Wars fans were already not liking Star Wars - Disney's deleting of all the SW Universe to make way for their story just ruined it for a lot of people. Saying 75% of the SW world is now gone, just doesn't work.
