Holly Mckenzie considered her familys two pit bull dogs her best friends, having made memories over the past three years of walking them, playing with them, cuddling them and even sleeping in the same bed together.
On Sunday though, Mckenzie said it was like a switch went off in the normally cuddly, sweet dogs. The Norwalk woman said one minute she was petting them and the next she was fighting for her life as they literally tried to rip her apart.

if you see a pit bull, do the world a kindness and kill it immediately.
We were playing with my customers two 120 lb pit bulls today
Nice dogs.
Wouldn’t get anywhere near thrm without him around however
I will not go near a pit bull unless I have 44 mag in my hand.
as the article said, the dog “nips” at me, it dies, instantly.
We have renters next door (ruins te neighborhood). The colombian family had a pit bull mix. It would get on te roof from a balcany and bark when I gardened like it wanted to kill me. One day it jumped down about 12 feet, I had a shovel ready. But I think it was to stunned and trotted off. I want a machete or gun next time.
Met all kinds of nice Pit Bulls, as far as owning one not a chance in hell.
When we cut our deal with dogs 70,000 years ago, there was only room for one master in that relationship, and that’s man. The dog is the servant. Pit bulls violate that compact, and there is no room for them in the human/dog relationship.
They are dangerous, undomesticated animals, and it’s time to recognize this and treat them accordingly.
I was badly mauled by a lab when I was four (I injured it, it injured me)I have the scars all over my head, including individual teeth marks to prove it.
Pit bulls, as a breed were bred to fight and kill bears, as such they should never be trusted.
From Wikipedia:
the dog will exhibit a smooth transition of response from cowed to angry, depending on how it is provoked. But higher stress levels correspond to moving to the region (a < 0). Then, if the dog starts cowed, it will remain cowed as it is irritated more and more, until it reaches the 'fold' point, when it will suddenly, discontinuously snap through to angry mode. Once in 'angry' mode, it will remain angry, even if the direct irritation parameter is considerably reduced.
I agree, but I would kill any dog that attacked me, regardless of breed or size.
I look on such a situation as just one less wolf.
My son has one. He is brilliant with adults and a real character but he knows who is boss. I would not trust him with children however as he does not seem to think all humans are above him only the ones that are bigger than him where my dog is submissive even to my 1 year old grandaughter. Ots seems as if a pitbulls submissiveness is not unconditional like most dogs
“The dog is the servant. “
Really?
YOU (the human) walk the dog because of the dog’s schedule and health and YOU (the human) have to pick up the sh*t directly when it takes a dump in the street.
Who is the “servant” again?
Not sure which is worse, pit bulls or their trashy owners.
I've never had a problem with them.
However, petting and playing with them you find out they're pure hard muscle and play aggressively.
Never had trouble with them but I always felt a vague uneasiness and danger being around them.
I wouldn't own one and I wouldn't let little kids near them.
Pit bulls were designed & bred for KILLING by gangs and drug pushers who used this deadly breed as a weapon of terror on their enemies. This breed must be eliminated.
The people who keep pit bulls are attracted to this breed for that very reason. It compensates for something that the owner feels is missing in his own psyche. It is like the weirdos who keep highly venomous snakes: Charges filed against man who kept deadly reptiles inside Thousand Oaks home.
In the last four years three different species of deadly cobras have been found roaming a Thousand Oaks neighborhood and killing at least one dog. They were kept by yet another narcissist who thinks his weird love for deadly creatures trumps the safety of the community.
If these escaped cobras started breeding, it would be an ecological catastrophe which would change Southern California forever, far worse than the other illegal invaders.
Pit bulls and deadly snakes don't belong in residential neighborhoods.
Women are prone to attack by predators for several reasons. Time of month, posture, voice inflections/ pleading/comforting and etc. predators try to take the weakest to limit their own damage. They are emboldened with support from pack mates. This is predator/prey behavior. Been this way since the time man left his cave. Never diminish the effect of smell and blood in a situation. May be a scrap to you but your senses suck when compared to a predator. Children just magnify the issues.
Two 120 pound pit bulls? I didn’t know they were that large. The owner won’t be able to control the dogs if that attack anyone.
Only dog that ever bit me was a Golden Retriever. Knocked me down from behind and started biting the back of my neck.
All I did was run past his house.
Unlike guns, (some) pit bulls kill people.
And before anyone gets the wrong idea my comment is a hat tip to the old saying, ‘guns don’t kill people, people kill people’.
