A belief that races and cultures are not equal need not assign inferiority. However, when that belief does assign and act upon inferiority that belief it is no longer benign.
Political positions appear to divide into two points of view.
The Conservative view is that representation and consideration must include all people.
Their reason is that the Constitution does not empower legislation that does not create equally.
The Liberal view is that some people need representation and consideration separate from others.
Their reason is that these people are inferior. The Constitution does not empower separate legislation for those they consider inferior.
Racism that assigns inferiority must also assign superiority and the supremacy itself is a bigoted action. The mere fact that the superior feel compelled to act on behalf of their inferior fellow citizens is the root of the true racism in America. Declaring your superiority over those you feel are inferior to you is racism.
This is why racism lives on in America; propped up, hoisted up, and given a label with no definition.
I think Frederick Douglass offered sound advice about what to do about the Negro.
What shall we do with the negro? I have had but one answer from the beginning. Do nothing with us! Youre doing with us has already played the mischief with us. Do nothing with us! If the apples will not remain on the tree of their own strength, if they are worm eaten at the core, if they are early ripe and disposed to fall, let them fall! I am not for tying or fastening them on the tree in any way, except by natures plan, and if they will not stay there, let them fall. And if the Negro cannot stand on his own legs, let him fall also. All I ask is, give him a chance to stand on his own legs! Let him alone! If you see him on his way to school, let him alone, dont disturb him! If you see him going to the dinner-table at a hotel, let him go! If you see him going to the ballot-box, let him alone, dont disturb him! [Applause.] If you see him going into a work-shop, just let him alone, your interference is doing him a positive injury.
Booker T. Washington also shared observations without ever meeting Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton.
Booker T. Washington, who rose from slavery to become the nations first widely recognized black leader, once warned against what he called "problem profiteers" among our nations black community. "There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs and the hardships of the Negro race before the public," observed Washington. "Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs."
I think you’re drunk and probably ought to have posted this in “Chat”.
I see everything, don’t trouble yourself on my account.
The Democrats’ views on race are EXACTLY the same as they were 250 years ago. They haven’t changed one iota.

Flawed premise.

Good post. I recall on MLK day how the conservative talk radio shows fell over themselves in celebration without explaining the why of MLK. Nothing about the content of one’s character.
Of course, the Left media avoid Booker T. Washington and Frederick Douglass at all costs.
I was going to suggest that should say, "Who be the racist," but that be racist.
