The show was cancelled because the tweet was true.
Not happy. But certainly not surprised.
Misleading headline.
Why not provide the quote!

It WAS a really stupid comment, so much more ammo out there than race. But this sucks, I was really enjoying it. My wife is gonna be PISSED!
I saw the Smothers Brothers segment at the beginning of the “The Who” documentary, “The Kids are Alright” and laughed my brain out. I forgot how funny that show was - and still is.
Comically, Amazon Prime just made “Rowan and Martin’s Laugh In” a free offering. I couldn’t even get through two episodes. It was beyond lame. Time has not been kind to that sort of humor.
I guess it’s similar. SB got cancelled for insulting
right wing tastes, Barr for insulting left wing taste.
