Cindy McCain, wife of ailing Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), is likely to succeed the longtime lawmaker, a new report says. John Gizzi, Newsmax’s chief political correspondent, reports:
As Arizonans prepare for their final salute to Sen. John McCain, Republicans and political pundits in the state privately tell Newsmax they expect the appointment of his wife, Cindy, to succeed him in the Senate.

One longtime friend of the McCain family told Newsmax he long thought Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey would appoint Cindy McCain to the Senate after her husband became too ill to serve.
During her husband’s 2008 presidential run, Cindy McCain, who has described herself as pro-life, told CBS she does not believe Roe v. Wade should be overturned.
Cindy McCain joined her daughter Meghan McCain in supporting gay rights, appearing in a 2010 “NOH8” campaign with duct tape over her mouth.

If that’s true, that McCain’s death has already occured and has been hidden from the public, I expect either Megyn or her husband to spill the beans one day. Megyn is a bundle of emotions most the time, and her husband likes getting attention. Although he’s not quite as obvious as is KellyAnne’s husband.
Come on be a Governor. Arizona didn’t vote for Cindy McCain when they voted for Juan. Appoint who the voters of Arizona would want not the wife of a bitter farce.
How about some justice, name his first wife that he abandoned after she was injured.

Nothing screams louder about the dysfunctional Republican Party in Arizona than to devolve into a family dynasty and royalty status for appointing Senators when openings occur. I thought Illinois was the worst with Duckworth and Durbin, then we see Arizona with Flake and McCain (and another McCain).

Bullshit! No more friggin dynasties, the seat doesn’t belong to the McCain family, despite what they may believe.....it belongs to the people of Arizona and damn past time they took it back.
Why? Is this some sort of Senatorial Monarchy or something? When is this super-RINO, anti-American, terrorist-loving, war mongering POS going to kick the bucket? Hanging around way too long for my liking.
If Ducey comes out and denies Cindy then McCain will “retire” before the trigger date. The seat will be up for grabs in November.
If Ducey can stall for a few days then the appointee gets the seat for 2 years.
I only hope I’m not giving to much credit to Ducey.
If it happens, it won’t be the first time, of course. I have never liked this practice, and wouldn’t like it even if the McCain’s were any good. You’d think the widow would be too occupied by mourning or something to want to do this, but political power does strange things to people.
Of course she’ll be put in power. No matter how much of a putz she is. It’s like chain immigration. Washington needs to be blown up. If not now, not ever.

Well, assuming she carries the mantle of her rotten husband, she’ll be terrible. But she’s not a war hero so criticizing her won’t cause shock and dismay amongst the elites. On second thought it will because she’s a poor little widdow, how could you say anything mean about her? Sheesh.
