Cindy McCain, wife of ailing Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), is likely to succeed the longtime lawmaker, a new report says. John Gizzi, Newsmax’s chief political correspondent, reports:
As Arizonans prepare for their final salute to Sen. John McCain, Republicans and political pundits in the state privately tell Newsmax they expect the appointment of his wife, Cindy, to succeed him in the Senate.

One longtime friend of the McCain family told Newsmax he long thought Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey would appoint Cindy McCain to the Senate after her husband became too ill to serve.
During her husband’s 2008 presidential run, Cindy McCain, who has described herself as pro-life, told CBS she does not believe Roe v. Wade should be overturned.
Cindy McCain joined her daughter Meghan McCain in supporting gay rights, appearing in a 2010 “NOH8” campaign with duct tape over her mouth.

Arizona law REQUIRES that the governor name a replacement from the same political party that the deceased Senator was in when elected to his/her term of office.
If Arizona had a Democrat Governor, that Governor would GLEEFULLY appoint Cindy to replace her husband. And that Governor would not believe his good fortune.
Governor Ducey’s True political stripes will be revealed by this appointment. Will he name a MAGA supporting individual or will he name a globalist RINO (posing as conservative) such as Cindy McCain?
I thought the election of Trump was voters saying no more “someone’s turn”!

Did Ducey sell the seat to Cindy, Illinois-style?
If the Beer Baroness does get appointed to the Senate, she must be required to divest herself of the liquor empire, since the Federal Government regulates that industry.

It is not an nomination; the voters have no say in the matter, it is an appointment. And McCain (who has probably been dead for a few weeks) and his family and minions have set things up so that there will be no special election.
