Were they working on the Huma/Weiner laptop case?
“Two NYPD officers, one of whom was a groom celebrating his wedding day, were killed when their rental Maserati left the road, police said.”
Another EXAMPLE of poor journalistic skills. Or maybe it was on purpose.
It left the road, eh? Must be an option.
“Waiting to see if alcohol was involved”
The only reason that I’d ever rent a Maserati is if I was planning to do some serious “driving”.You’ve gotta wonder if speed and/or booze was involved.
alcohol.. and/or speed. After all, it was a Maserati.
I’m sure an officer of the law would never speed or drive drunk or not wear his seat belt.
I had one go my me today, nice car, doing 65.
Must be hard to resit nailing it in those things
At 11:23 on my wedding night, I was thinking about driving something other than a car.
me too ask the Ct St Police about their two last MV Deaths.
One on one off duty but both in State owned cruisers
Your SUV?
They do it so they wont be sued. To write someone crashed their vehicle taints a potential jury’s perception.
Lawyers. Blame the lawyers for papers having to write in idiotic form when covering accidents.
You were doing 65 and it zipped by, right?
Or you were creeping along and it went by at a speed you estimated must be as high as 65?
LOL.
I once did autocross for a year or two. One event, I was next in line to go, and the official let a guy go ahead of me.
The official tells me [about the interloper] "He's getting married in a few hours, so we're letting him get his runs in..."
(There's a minimum tire cool-down period between runs (per vehicle, ie, husband/wife sharing, etc.), so they let him run again as soon as the clock allowed.)
Thanks. I understand what you are saying.
Now, explain why the same ‘journalists’ can write stories stating that Donald Trump had Russian hookers pee on a bed Obama slept in while in Russia.
Just blame the lawyers for every legal hassle known.
It is all that a lawyer is good for. IMO
On a dependents day cruise, on the USS Tarawa sometime in the 80s, a Marine pilot was to be married on the deck, at sea.
Both families were present, the bride in her white gown standing on deck with the entire wedding party.
The Marine pilot took off in a Harrier and was showing off. Getting a little frisky.
On his last pass he was coming in at a high angle...straight at the superstructure (wedding party). Obviously with the intent to swerve off and make it a good show.
He cut so hard he lost lift and pancaked the bird in the sea at 500 knots...directly in front of the ship. We were likely doing only about 12 knots, but we went over the splash.
He was never recovered. There was nothing left to recover.
It was just friggin’ AWFUL.
I am sure that woman never recovered.
That is one of the silliest things I've seen written on Freerepublic.
