I posted several articles weeks ago about the SSRI side effects of homicidal and suicidal ideation. About half the people that responded my post downplayed it.
Suicidal and homicidal ideations are not just the act of killing oneself or others. It is a continuous compulsion with ruminating thoughts of both killing and ruminating thoughts of various methods of doing so.
So ruminating and continuous that one cannot think of much of anything else....snip....

There was also a link posted to a Video where someone had researched all the shootings and the correlation with drugs.
Pfizer has generally settled out of court for their SSRI type meds, but someone did eventually take them to court in order to get it all on the record.
In my research, a lawyer suggested that there was research that supported the theory that a test could be developed to see if people were likely to experience this side effect.
Yet, this aspect hasn’t hit the TV news since it was first mentioned years ago. Doesn’t fit the narrative.
There are a LOT or people using SSRIs, which presents a problem. I would suspect that while the vast majority respond to the treatment with few or no side-effects, there are some that perhaps the medication works much differently. Perhaps even amplifies their mental health problems and characteristics.
I would venture to say that very close supervision is necessary when someone is starting an SSRI treatment, especially maybe certain types.

The medication literature for these meds clearly state that suicidal ideation and other harmful compulsive thoughts can be side effects.
No your are right - doesn’t fit the narrative.
More info I have had on these drugs for years as I had a family member that took her life due to anti-depressants, the warning for the drug she was taking was announced 5 months after she died.

I myself do not understand why this is not investigated with these kids that are killers.
