Q "drops" (i.e., posts) can be read with their original formatting on various websites. Sometimes the Q drop websites come under cyber attack or stop updating. This week, I've been using the following link:

Q drops (i.e., posts) often use unfamiliar acronyms. Swordmaker maintains a list of acronymsto help FReepers understand Q drop text. Two, a bro and sis, were in my kids’ school. The older one is nice, smart, but appeared to have no/flat affect in interactions. The second curled up and rocked a lot, but seemed to grow out of this behavior with age. Nice kid, but with some social problems (maybe learning too). Eventually that one was transferred to a school that could hopefully better address needs.

I would venture to say that very close supervision is necessary when someone is starting an SSRI treatment, especially maybe certain types.

Yes, and especially when they first start, or when there are changes to the doses. SSRIs can be quite helpful-just very bad effects for some. Sometimes includes hearing voices that tell them to do violent things.

Remember one of the cases where a teenage boy who dearly loved his grandparents, hacked them to death. Very tragic. If research for a test to determine susceptibility was developed, instead of using the issue to grab guns, it might be helpful.

It’s also possible that these susceptible people have been pushed toward their actions too by bad people.

Yeah, young brains is a different story. A lot of behavior things going on in the youth/adolescent range. Hormones for one thing.

Certainly, they are in a stage where they are more apt to learning, which would make behavior mod a good match. Well, for much of the time. I can imagine (not an expert by any stretch) that there are cases that require a different or more intense approach.

I am the self appointed thread Food Monitor & Dragon Lady, always noting that there is another thread dedicated to the food obsessed, such that beautiful color photos of three squares a day are included!
