The Dodgers are so bad.

But their announcers are THE worst.

They need to install transporters.

There’s been talk of gondolas from Clearwater, Florida to Clearwater beach because of traffic problems.

It won’t work. Not even Dodger fans want to be stuck in a closed gondola car, 50+ feet above the ground, surrounded by a bunch of Dodger fans...

;-)

It says no taxpayer funding, but I bet if you dug through the details, you’d find your tax dollars there.

Fedgov is always involved in stuff like this.

The Portland gondola is a total waste of money and has no transportation value.

Did Garcetti get the idea from Lyle Lanley?

I am not trusting my life to such contraptions, yet another reason never to visit the place.

Garcetti said it would be "affordable to everyday folks."

For the little people.

Thank you, Your Majesty

The “Dodger Express” buses run from Union Station to Dodger Stadium now. They are quite full and they are free if you take the metro or train.

I would assume that since the Dodgers are paying for this Gondola, that they will also have an arrangement with the Metro for free transport on the Gondola for Dodger ticket holders. At least 81 Dates a year make it a worthwhile investment.

If they did create such transportation, there would have to be a security guard aboard the gondola to ‘babysit’ the fans of the losing team after the game. “All rowdy passengers will be ejected over the side!”

A gondola full of smashed Dodgers/Giants fan would be interesting.

‘babysit’ the fans of the losing team after the game.
= = =

The drunk ones ... who didn’t restrain themselves (I’m not driving) ... would be problematic.

OH,

Jerry Brown can just put up a side spur to the Bullet Train.

Now it’s all better.

Whatthehellever. They pushed through that oppressive gas tax ostensibly for the purposes of road repair and construction and now plan to waste it on mass transit — that nobody wants and few will benefit from. Fix the potholes, construct more freeways and freeway lanes — use it for something the taxpayers, who paid for it, can actually use.

” won’t work. Not even Dodger fans want to be stuck in a closed gondola car, 50+ feet above the ground, surrounded by a bunch of Dodger fans...”

Let alone LA gang bangers with Pistola’s wanting to get in some traget practice / Gang Initiation killings.
