They were wrong. Lol
This will help our turnout in Nov. People should feel uncomfortable with how close it was.

True. A win is a win, no one cares about the spread.

That’s right. And when the final tally is in, it should be better.

No there isn’t. Underestimating the enemy and complacency are killers. We’ll deal with Nov. in a better position by being aware and not overconfident.

final margin was 5 points. Trump carried the district by 21 points.
If all districts shift like this one, the Rats will have a veto-proof majority in the House.
Nothing to celebrate here.

Pessimism is as dangerous as over confidence.
People will tend to give up if they have no hope.
Giving up is the last thing our side should do. Right now its important to be giving money to our candidates.
The other side gets massive amounts of free air time from the media. Amounting to billions..

It will take several days to count mail in ballots

All special elections are close, very different from a general election

Lesko is no PDJT.
I live in this district and voted early.
The special election was not greeted with much enthusiasm in my view.
I tried to get my brother to go vote- he’s an Independent, and he blew it off.
I’m not reading too much into the margin of victory.

There’s one thing to celebrate- another person in Congress to support President Trump.

Relax. This was just a caretaker election. The demographics in this district heavily favor the Republicans.
If the Democrat had won, there wouldn’t have been lasting damage in the House given its current composition. The Democrat’s vote on bills would have no effect.
Among registered voters in the district, the GOP leads 2-1 [190k-110k]. Assuming straight party voting in this election, less than half the GOP voted - whereas almost 70% of the DE MS did.
The real battle comes in 6 months, when it really counts. I bet a lot of GOP didn’t vote today knowing that.
Don’t git yer panties in a wad ...

Woot! Woot! Reading some of the sour puss commentators on this thread, one might think that Lesko lost, if the outcome was at first- unknown.

Less than a 5.5% margin in a district which Trump won by 21 points. Not exactly overwhelming.
