“Where da F@ck do they come up with these names???”

They couldn’t read a first-grade “Weekly Reader” to save their lives, but are pretty creative and phonics savvy when it comes to conjuring up names. I don’t get it.

“I’ve noticed that some people just freak out when a baby cries. I mean, lose their minds.”

That would be me. But I think it’s a nature thing. I’ve heard that when a mother’s baby cries it stimulates milk production or something, so it’s a survival tool for the child. Maybe that’s not true, but never having been a mother, I admit I don’t know.

I saved that Youtube video of the ghetto girl names years ago. It’s hilarious. “Watermelondrea”. LOL. Whenever I need a good laugh, I must play it. That would be AFTER I play the videos of election night Hillary supporters.

Perhaps but striking the child could also cause a fresh round of crying. We call this in the South “I’ll give you something to cry about”.

I’m guessing this was a baby and nothing was going to stop the crying. Babies learn very early how to get attention but it could be general discomfort. Something like “I am about to drop last night’s collards and cornbread into my diaper”.

Most of those names are names that white people just make up.

Actually, I agree with you.

It only makes a difference in how the Mom should have dealt with it.

My daughter can take all four of her children to any restaurant any time without fear. They range from one to eight, and they all know they had better not embarrass her in public.

“We call this in the South ‘I’ll give you something to cry about’.”

Dad wasn’t from the south, but that was his go-to line when he meant “STFU”.

In the South, it was generally a response to a child crying.

Ditto for Dad. And he was serious. I still can’t cry or show much emotion. I didn’t even cry when he died. (So I guess I showed him, huh? LOL!)

It’s true. Doesn’t even have to be your baby crying to cause it.

When women of low character are given a free pass to assault men, women of low character assault men.

I have been around babies all of my life, and I raised 4 children of my own, so I consider myself knowledgeable in this area.

Admittedly, I did not go to the link, so I don’t know whether or not the baby’s age was given, but I am assuming he was quite young since it says he cried for 30 minutes.
In a baby younger than 3 months it is important to respond very quickly. I know what you are saying regarding older babies, but their crying is not as piercing as a tiny infant’s. Regardless of how old the child is, one certainly does not allow the kid to disturb others in a restaurant.

I’ve posted this before so apologies if you’ve seen it.

My mother worked at the registry of births in a city.

A woman came on for a birth certificate for her daughter,”Femmally”.

My mother asked for the spelling-—so she spelled it.

F-E-M-A-L-E

.

There are rules though. The names have to contain at least 3 syllables and 3 vowels - the vowels don’t have to be different though. And of course the order of the syllables and the vowels is completely haphazard based on the creativity and good taste of the namer.

Bonus points for names that are both unpronounceable and unspellable as they can then be used in accusations of raycis-um and priv-ledge.
