I had wanted to raise earlier that the first two Jewish Senators were both from the Deep South: David Yulee (Florida), and, of course, Benjamin (LA).
I hate the way the South is stereotyped and/or treated like a monolith. I guess love of diversity doesn’t apply everywhere.
