Last night's episode of Roseanne found the Conners at odds, as Roseanne and Darlene butted heads over parenting styles. While Darlene is pretty lenient with her daughter Harris, Roseanne is the tough parent we've always known her to be (remember when she took Becky's door off the hinges in season 2?).
Those differences came to the forefront during a family argument, where Harris says she thinks she's better than her "hillbilly" relatives and Roseanne calls Harris an "entitled little b-ch" and shoves her head under the kitchen faucet.
And people definitely had some opinions about the scene. Some thought it went too far, and seemed out of character for Roseanne:
The rest of the episode found Roseanne struggling to accept the perils of aging as Dan tries to get her to use a motorized chair to go up and down the stairs.
It was quite an episode!
There may be some watershed events happening, and this show could be one of them.
She is hitting all of the right notes and offending all of the right people !
The kid had it coming.
I’m guessing it will be like Trump.
The more they attempt to fraudulently destroy the show the more popular it will become.
Loved the line: Modern parents don’t spank their misbehaving children but tell them to sit and think about it…and the child sits and thinks,”Why isn’t this loser spanking me?”
Old school. I loved it. Respect her and her house and all will be good. Don’t, and you reap the whrilwind. That’s my Grandma right there... Both of them.

If they don’t like the show,
then don’t watch the show.
The catch is, you can’t just ‘remove’ any show you don’t like and take the choice away from everybody.
The snowflakes need to go off to their safe space and reflect on the moment until reality sets in.
Last night’s episode was GREAT..gee what are far left loons complaining about..President Trump was not mentioned ONCE..it was about that punk a@@ kid Harris being a stuck up little brat who got the swirlie she deserved and she learned a lesson too, be grateful for what you have
How is anything that’s not PC compliant even allowed to be broadcast? What’s happening to network television? I’m so conflicted!!
The last scene in the shower was a BOMB! We Loved it. It Made us want to see more. My wife and I will be back.
Are you kidding me? It’s a sitcom, for crying out loud!
Darlene: “How could you do that?”
Roseanne: “It’s easy, just get a hold of her neck like so, and point the sprayer at her head...”
Great one-liners all throughout. Dan: “You just have to figure parenting as you go. There’s no book on how to raise a child.”
Did anyone besides me see the “Make America Great Again” hat hanging on the hat rack outside, by the washing machine?

That's exactly what they did with "Last Man Standing". It was too conservative for ABC, so it was cancelled despite high ratings. But at least there has been push back, and ABC would look pretty bad cancelling Roseanne. Also, it's not like Roseanne is a conservative show. It just has a couple conservative characters in a sea of liberalism. Half the jokes are set up so that you see them as a jab at the other side depending on your own biases.

How bizarre that it takes two icons from the late Eighties to reinvigorate America where it counts perhaps more than most.
Trump has rattled the cages of Washington as no one in modern memory ever has.
And now Roseanne is doing the same to the entertainment industry.
Maybe the tide is turning. Maybe the pendulum really is swinging in the other direction.
