Google Earthing the island:
There is no landing strip for fix-winged craft. There is a helicopter landing point on a grassed tract designated with a large “H”.
Did not look at adjacent, larger islands for fix-winged capability.
How does one find it (Epstein Island) on Google Earth? It does not come up under “Epstein Island”?
There are two airports in the United States Virgin Islands. The Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (HERA) is located in Christiansted, St. Croix. The Cyril E. King Airport (CEKA) is located on the western end of St. Thomas.
VI main airtport is configured for larger jet craft. Take a helo to the island.
VI is an international airport, that’s why we have passenger manifests for Epstein’s flight; they have to log a flight and manifest before take-off.
If you google ‘Virgin Islands’ they present a map. If you zoom the island with the Marriott hotels, at around 5 oclck, there is an island that looks like the one depicted in #1803. Short helo flight.
