I really hope that former Popes are not exposed as being frauds and evil members of the cabal.
We know that Pope St Pius X was definitely not. Probably not any of the others, either, until John XXIII. I remember reading speculation that there was another Pope who was voted on after Pius XII died, who was intimidated not to accept the Papacy, and that was when John XXIII got in. He then called the Vatican II Council and its been downhill ever since.
Unless they are, right?

Just my opinion: It doesn’t matter whether the Popes were evil or not. That doesn’t change your faith. If you were married (in the church and in good faith) and it turned out the priest was not really ordained or something, would that nullify your marriage? Would that mean you were living in sin? Maybe you’d want to get a “re-do” on the marriage ceremony to fix the error, but that wouldn’t make you guilty of adultery or anything. Again, JMO.
If any Popes turn out to be evil, we are now in a place where we can get a “do over”.
God sees what is in our hearts. I’m pretty confident He doesn’t judge us on what is in someone else’s heart.
I hope so, too, but I pray that I will be able to face the truth wherever it leads.
Prayers up for Holy Mother Church.
Malachi Martin had a lot to say about such, IIRC.
