Facebook COBB COUNTY, Ga. - The frights are supposed to end at Six Flags Over Georgia once you get off the rides.
That wasnt the case for Joshua Martin on July 3, 2007.
The 19-year-old Marietta kid was with his brother and their friend just outside the park when several gang members descended upon them at a bus station 200 feet from the amusement parks property line.
It was a flurry of brass-knuckled punches and kicks.
Martin had a shoe print embossed on his forehead when he was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital from Austell.
He was in a coma seven days and suffered severe brain injuries.

“gang of between 15 and 40 people roamed the park”
Amish?
Sad. Parks should be safe; the animals should be put down. Wonder what has become of them since they obviously weren’t.
Three of the four "gang members" (that's the nice word for them).
Look at the first dude. Notice the resemblance to Einstein? /s
Norwegian tree-hugging Druids!
yeah, that’s the ticket!
Too bad no concealed carry was around .... the police were 10-20 minutes away if not on break.
Who will Obama claim as his son? All of them or just one?
“Many seasonal employees gang members”. Yeah, I’m never going there again
Yep, with one of the perps named ‘DeAndre’, they surely must all be Amish. </sarc>
If it was not on Six Flags property, why are they liable?
Most likely: Willie Gray Franklin Jr., Brad McGail Johnson, DeAndre Evans and Claude Morey III.
> Many seasonal employees gang members. Yeah, Im never going there again <
Most probably a wise move. Take the family fishing instead. But what would happen if Six Flags tried to weed out suspected gang member employees/applicants? Al Sharpton would be down there in a New York minute. And then the lawsuits would start flying again.
Apparently park security was repeatedly notified about the gang but didn't remove them. A jury awarded the $35M, it was tossed on appeal, then reinstated by the state supreme court.
Didn’t you read that? There was a “security guard”. Oh, and he was an off duty “cop”. Just let the thugs run rampant, though. “Security” dude must’ve had his training in Broward County, FLA.
“Look at the first dude. Notice the resemblance to Einstein?”
Not as much hair, otherwise a STRIKING RESEMBLANCE.
He was in a coma seven days and suffered severe brain injuries.
Odd. There was a time when Cobb County did not put up with criminal behavior. At least a few of the evil creeps were arrested.
The po-leece was setting up a perimeter.
The neighborhood around 6 flags is very rough now, not wise to go there because of that and because you wait in line for everything. I refuse to wait in long lines to give someone my money. Maybe the management will try to clean up the place now but once that element sets in, it is usually fatal to the business in question.
