I was just listening to Mike Gallagher on the radio. He said that one school official proposed providing every student in schools with a bucket of rocks in order to defend themselves in case of another school shooting. Gallagher said he thought this was a dumbest idea he's ever heard before. But then many callers started calling in telling him they thought it was a good idea.
Do you agree with Gallagher that this is a dumb idea, or do you think it might actually work? Your thoughts?
Do you really want to face an AK-47 armed opponent with a bucket of rockets? Accuracy AK, speed AK, killing power AK, Penetrating power AK. Now we know the real problem low intelligence of leftists. Now China is threatening bloody war. Our citizenry needs to be fully armed more now then ever. But the left would rather be communist slaves of the state then free!
We would then be subject to “rock control” legislation.
Maybe schrillary. Can give some points on high speed ash tray hurling
Liberals only need to use the rocks in their heads.
Stupid idea. What do they want them to do, throw rocks at a someone with a gun? Seriously?
I am not a teacher, but this idea of a bucket of pretty large stones is a very bad idea.
Stones in the hands of goofy kids playing around or angry kids could be as dangerous as any other weapon.
A certain Gallagher would smash watermelons, instead.
“..they bring a gun, we bring a rock!..”
This guy has the brain of a 4 yr old boy...
And I bet the kid was glad to get rid of it.
Bring back dodge-ball...
“... many callers started calling in telling him they thought it was a good idea.”...
Yup, there are a lot of stupid people out there.
One thing about rocks versus bullets, you can recollect them once they have been thrown and use them over and over again. (Might be something the libs might propose)
The rocks might come in handy to defend against a prehistoric caveman that the science teacher thaws in the science lab. Other than that, not so much. Most of us are well beyond the stone age.
Believe it or not, I know this school Admin guy. He is actually speaking to something that has been in place for awhile. Some protocol named “ALICE”. Within this program, as a last resort schools provide a “bucket of rocks” to throw at, and try to distract perps.
My wife, a teacher, confirms this. It wasn’t like this Superintendent came up with this on his own, as far as I know. Although he’s getting pounded for it.
If you can dodge a “rock”, you can dodge a ball!
“Do you really want to face an AK-47 armed opponent with a bucket of rockets”
Not the preferred response weapon but a rock beats that tangerine in the lunch bag.
Another poster indicated that - at least it’s a step forward from having students cower in classroom corners waiting to die. I agree.
If this is what it takes to get something started in the form of adequate self-defense and student protection then so be it - get it started.
The kids need sturdy slingshots too as a force multiplier.
Issue the sling shots with ball bearings much better idea David nods.
How long before there are no windows left in the classrooms & the teacher has lumps on their head?
How long before there are no windows in the classroom & the teachers all have lumps on their heads?
When I heard about this bucket of rocks idea, and that the schools supervisor was then satisfied he’d done his best to protect his students, I stopped what I was doing and burst into laughter. I think the bucket of rocks idea is totally ridiculous and classically libtard. There was another school in the news a year ago or so which told its students to throw canned goods at intruders. I can’t decide which is more of a hoot. In order to be effective, you’d have to hit an intruder very precisely with that thrown rock and I doubt teachers have classrooms of kids capable of doing that. By the time they got to their rocks, an armed intruder could have shot and killed a dozen kids. If it were in NYC, you’d find graffiti drawn on most of the rocks before they’d be used, and then you’d see most of them used against fellow students.
"...burst into laughter..."
