Sen. Ted Cruz on Friday praised the choice of Robert Mueller to lead the investigation into whether President Trump's campaign colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 presidential elections.
"I don't think it was necessary to appoint a special counsel," Cruz said. "But the Department of Justice made the decision to do that. If they are going to appoint a special counsel, Bob Mueller is an excellent choice."
Cruz said Mueller, a former FBI director with a sterling reputation, would conduct a fair investigation.

Yeah I was starting to like Ted Cruz again. Then someone posts this and I’m thinking he Ted just said this today .So I get triggered and extremely angry. But then I see it’s an old article and thing why post this now?
Not all. Mark Levin was disgusted by it on the same date Cruz was praising it. This statement from Cruz shows it was the Republicans’ fault for not coming out and just saying that THERE IS NO RUSSIAN COLLUSION. This was less than 4 month’s into Trump’s administration. Where were the special prosecutors in the Obama admin? We didn’t have a single one.
It’s a 10 month old article. Cruz didn’t just say it recently.

I find this posting deceptive, in that it is almost ten months old. Things have changed. What is the point? What is the intent in posting it? Makes Cruz look like an ass, but put into context it is a bit different.
I don’t think of checking dates of articles on FR before I read them, assuming perhaps that it is not a Faux News place. Perhaps I am wrong.
