It’s amazing how much they drink. Reading the diaries and autobiographies of theater artists, etc., I’m amazed at how juiced up they have to be just to talk to another person. Saturday night in the west end, you end up stepping over inebriated Brit men and women.
I’ll have what Sam Nunberg is having.
Considering the Brits were civilized then, how much were the Irish drinking?
Im a fan of British mysteries but its amazing how much booze is packed away in such as Inspector Morse or even Midsomer Murders.

The first 4-1/2 years I worked at Anheuser Busch in ST.
. Louis we had beer in every break room. You could drink before work, on breaks, and after work. That all ended 32 years ago this month.
I was in Russia for a few weeks some years ago and there were lines at the local store first thing in the morning with guys getting a full sized glass filled with vodka on their way to work.
