Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Friday that it’s time to discuss what the Second Amendment “means in the modern world” in light of last week’s mass school shooting in Parkland, Florida.
Ms. Rice, who served under President George W. Bush, said that while the Second Amendment remains “indivisible,” she doesn’t think civilians should have access to guns like the AR-15, which was used by 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz to fatally shoot 17 students and teachers on Valentine’s Day.
“I think it is time to have a conversation about what the right to bear arms means in the modern world,” she told radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt. “I don’t understand why civilians need to have access to military weapons. We wouldn’t say you can go out and buy a tank.”

The modern world? That being the world that in the last century saw governments slaughter more of their own citizens than in any other century in recorded history? That modern world?
No. We need the 2nd Amendment more than ever to protect us from tyrannical governments.
It means what it meant when it was enacted. There is an individual right to bear arms. It shall not be infringed. The militia was all free men and they were to be and were armed.
Condi is a NeoCon and NeoCons do not like the US Constitution.

Condi is way overrated in intelligence. The Second Amendment wasn’t written to protect hunting and sports, or even personal defense. The second amendment was justified completely as protection from tyranny by government.
Well, we already know what the 10th Amendment mean post-FDR ... absolutely nothing ... so the only people who should be surprised that rolling back the 2nd has always been a goal of the uniparty (and not just the Left) probably also believed assertions that civil rights status for homosexual acts wouldn’t result in same sex marriages.

Auto rentals and banks are falling in step with the protestors. Well, I have a feeling the NRA is going to double (maybe more) their membership.

Condi will never run for office. If she does , she will have no hope of election as a Republican.

She can't be that uninformed about the reasons the Founders added the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution.
