I wonder how many species have become extinct through the thousands of generations of life on earth.
or is it millions of generations?

Are zebras horses?

Two herds of wild horses make their home on Assateague Island, separated by a fence at the Maryland-Virginia line. These small but sturdy, shaggy horses have adapted to their environment over the years by eating dune and marsh grasses and drinking fresh water from ponds. While they appear tame, they are wild, and Park Rangers urge visitors not to feed or pet them.

Every animal on earth was ‘wild’ until we ‘domesticated’ them. That includes humans!!!!!!
All horses currently living in the wild are ordered to report to the nearest ranch for processing.
No wonder they couldn’t drag Mick Jagger away. They are extinct.

Yesterday, we “knew” the evolutionary origin of modern horse breeds.
Today, POOF!!, we don’t. What changed? The horse breeds? No...Our understanding of the scientific data changed.
The science lesson for today?
Science is a collection of theories that are supported by data. But newer data can diminish the validity of an accepted theory or destroy it altogether.
If someone refuses to debate evidence by saying “oh, that’s ‘settled’ science”, they are disingenuous (think liberals on global warming). Science, BY DEFINITION, is NEVER settled.
Have they visited the Outer Banks in NC? They’re everywhere.
