A care home has hired pole dancers to keep its elderly residents entertained.
Pictures from the latest performance show residents watching the dancers acrobatically spin around a metal pole in sports bras and knickers.
It’s been branded ‘inappropriate’ by local councillors, who said they were ‘staggered’ by the choice of entertainment.
But bosses at Fairmile Grange home in Christchurch, Dorset, defended its decision to hire the dancers, the youngest being 10-years-old. Izzy Nicholls, operations and quality director for Encore Care Homes, which runs Fairmile Grange, said: ‘At Fairmile Grange, relatives and residents requested more modern-style activities.
However, Councillor Peter Hall said it is ‘inappropriate’ to see pole dancers in a care home.
‘It’s not really the sort of entertainment I would have thought that the residents wanted or would have encouraged,’ he said.
Councillor Denise Jones added: ‘I’m a bit staggered about it. While I’m always delighted to see the horizons of older people widened, I’m not sure that includes pole dancing.’

Duh.... that goes without saying.

Pole dancing has become more of an exercise/athletic thing in the last decade. Yeah, they sometimes still do it in strip clubs, and the gals still wear high heels and shorts, but they need the skin surface against the pole for the friction to do what they do. Notice the chunky chick??? She’s probably in better shape (other than her weight) than 9p% of the Feeepers here. I know it sounds weird but it isn’t porn.

A world gone mad.. That is nightmare inducing.
A lot of these places take head counts during activities so the numbers can be reported. If a high number is desired, residents can be walked/wheeled to the activity whether they'd like to go or not.
I am going to Hell for sure. If I don't get my knuckles lacerated by a ruler first...
This isn’t “pole dancing” like you’d find at a “gentlemen’s club”. This is more akin to Cirque d’ Soleil.
One old man was arrested for assault with a dead weapon though.
