Electric Aspark Owl prototype has 430 horsepower, 563 all-wheel lb-ft torque and weighs less than 860kg The Japanese company claim the video is proof that the car can achieve 'impossible' sub-two-second mark Apark say they will only make 50 units of the vehicle and customers will need to fork out £3million for one

A small engineering company in Japan claims it has produced the world's first street-legal car capable of hitting 0-60mph in under two seconds.
The Aspark Owl was launched at the Frankfurt Auto Show last year and its creators said it would have 430 horsepower, 563 all-wheel lb-ft of torque, weigh under 860kg and accelerate to sixty in just two seconds.
Now Aspark have released incredible footage showing the electric hypercar smashing the sub-2-second mark and achieving a time of just 1.921 seconds - faster than any Formula 1 racing car.

There are so few drivers who could handle that, that I’d hope it wouldn’t be sold in street legal form with that sort of acceleration, not without requiring extensive driver training at least.
Hirohito’s Revenge,,,
Wear a diaper.
Nobody needs a high-capacity assault vehicle. They should be banned.
Supercars do indeed come with driving lessons. I guarantee this one does with its $4 million price tag.
Fine, jump in there and make an utter idiot of yourself shortly before taking yourself plus several others out of this plane of existence. You’ve evidently not seen how many people crash cars that are a second slower to sixty.
No place for the groceries or beer.
But it apparently has no reverse gear...
And it sounded like a slot car taking off...
The promotional photo looks good but the car is actually pretty ugly in the videos, looks like a fiberglass kit car and sounds like a dentist’s drill.
That and $4.2 million.................
At $4.2 million a copy, you can have them delivered.............
Would only require 90 feet to get to 60 MPH.
Imagine hardening the car, and operating remotely?
It could do serious damage in a short space.
Weaponizing these really is something to consider.
Supercars are mostly too exotic. Ugly because of aerodynamic requirements, uncomfortable because of safety requirements.
Plenty of $200k and under cars are gorgeous and unreasonably fast for rich people. And there are plenty of lists of useful fastest cars under various price levels.

A murderous terrorist could run down a bunch of people in a crowded street or walkway.
I will wait until I see the crash test video before placing my order.
Who is the genius that decided that loading dock was a good test track?
He had about 2 ft. of margin at the stop point.....
You know... I just happen to have an open spot in my garage...
Imagine if it were painted black!
Yeah but how will it do when it hits a 2 foot snowdrift with ice underneath?
And no room for a gunrack in the back.
