I wouldn’t be surprised if Chinese phones sucked up all the calls, texts, and websites and sent them to China for analysis. It is a communist country, and as such has no idea of right or wrong.

My favorite Chinese hardware story is how they stole the entire plans of India’s nuke sub. The Chinese setup a cellphone booth, and offered pendrives as giveaways for coming in to checkout the phones. The booth was setup on the road towards the dockyards. Six month later, the plans appeared in Beijing. Seems the pendrives activated six months after the give away, and downloaded the plans. Since then, Chinese cell phones are banned in India.
humm and we’re suppose to listen to the lying fibbing CIA, FBI, and NSA. Big emphasis on the FBI. My gut feeling is these phones are more of a threat to the profit margins of Apple and other American companies phones that are extremely over priced. Hummm I wonder how much stock these leaders of the intelligence agencies have invested in these companies, and how much of those profits are going to the Democratic party. It make’s one wonder if these phones are a real threat or just a drummed up threat.
I’d rather use a Google Pixel phone if I’m on Android.
"Our" values meaning what to the FBI? Using the power of the Federal government to spy on the opposition candidate? Those kind of values?
It is probable that the US Government is a greater threat in this regard than is the Chinese government, at least until President Trump can drain the Swamp..

D’uh! This has been a problem from the moment we began importing crap from China 25 years ago. Anybody who thinks this is a new phenomenon or that China just started doing this is either too dumb to be in the intelligence business or is on the Chinese payroll. Either way, China has already dug into the US economy and government like a tick and the damage is irreparable. JMHO.

As if no other phone is built without the access to it by a company that is beholden to a foreign entity! Yes I mean Apple too!
