A new study using data from NASA's Kepler Space Telescope shows that in most cases, exoplanets orbiting the same star have similar sizes and regular spacing between their orbits.
By contrast, our own solar system has a range of planetary sizes and distances between neighbors. The smallest planet, Mercury, is about one-third the size of Earth and the biggest planet, Jupiter, is roughly 11 times the diameter of Earth. There also are very different spacings between individual planets, particularly the inner planets.
This means our solar system may have formed differently than other solar systems did, the research team suggested, although more observations are needed to learn what the different mechanisms were.
"The planets in a system tend to be the same size and regularly spaced, like peas in a pod. These patterns would not occur if the planet sizes or spacings were drawn at random," Lauren Weiss, the study's lead author and an astrophysicist at the University of Montreal, said in a statement.

In our own solar system, however, the story is very different. The four terrestrial planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars) are very widely spaced apart. The team pointed to evidence from other research that Jupiter and Saturn may have disrupted the structure of the young solar system. While the statement did not specify how, several other research studies have examined the movements of these giant planets and their potential impact on the solar system.

Junk science, Kepler lacks the ability to discover solar systems akin to ours - so of course it doesn’t find them.
Excellent setup for the punch there!

So when solar systems dont match what most look like, science can cal them odd or abnormal.
....
But when homosexuals don’t match what almost everyone else does secually, you cant call them odd or abnormal.
Sounds like a certain popular conservative website....
How dare we be unique and exceptional! I demand celestial equality and justice!
Because the Lord rolled Venus down the middle of the solar system to make the Exodus plagues and events happen (at least according to Velikovsky).
Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons f God.
Rom 8:20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;
Rom 8:21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.
No, it's because people are special. Life is special. Earth is special. If everybody is special, then nobody is special.
Can our telescopes even discern planets as small as Earth or Mercury orbiting other stars? Earth is like a grain of sand relative to a sun.
Not to mention, show us ANY example of radio waves from ANY foreign intelligent source. Light travels fast. Where is the proof?
Yep - He who spoke it all into existence knew His science....
No, it’s because people are special. Life is special. Earth is special. If everybody is special, then nobody is special.

Life is special and it is found everywhere ... your assumption that abundant life would make life not special betrays the very idea of G-D, and reveals your ‘religious’ insecurities.
Let me correct your post. Life is found everywhere ON THE EARTH. There is no planet but earth that has life. None has been found. There is no moon that has life. None has been found. There is no asteroid that has life. None has been found. Life ANYWHERE but earth is based on fantasy. It's fine to like Star Trek and Star Wars. But it's a terrible way to shape your reality.
Thought you’d say that. If life can exist in fumaroles in the deepest part of the ocean trenches, there is no reason it would not be exist on other bodies with similar and known conditions, like Ganymede. And so on. Get over it.
Absence of proof is not proof of absence ...
Exactly. We see nothing because there is nothing. The universe is dead. Life cannot come from nothing no matter how many years you give it.
Actually the universe is fine tuned for ONLY life as we know it...life on earth.
The above is an article from Cosmos magazine (there are numerous other similar ones on the web) that show that the universe is tuned for life on earth. In fact, the evidence is so overwhelming that the odds are ZERO that life just sprang up on it's own. It's so clear that science have to explain it by coming up with the theory of the multiverse...a theory that states that our universe is but one of an infinite number of universes and so we just happened to be lucky enough to come up with the one that was perfect for life. That's about the ONLY explanation they have. It is IMPOSSIBLE for life to spring into being on it's own. There's not a bunch of aliens living out there on other planets. That's a fantasy. A delusion.
Just to make this clear...there are NO other condition similar to earth. EVERYTHING would have to be EXACTLY the same. Every chemical reaction. Every component. The distance from the sun. The sun itself. The composition of the soil. Our placement in the galaxy. And a billion other factors. The ONLY reason that life can exist in fumaroles on earth is because it's ON EARTH.
It's cute how some people have such a childlike view of the earth. Give us some water, sunshine and dirt and we have Vulcans!
Well Mr Just-Pretends-to-Believe-in-G-D, if you live long enoguh, you are in for a very big surprise ...
