Traveling to London
Actually,we had a nice flight on Delta.
Learn the language..
Be prepared for insanely high priced not very good food and lodging.
If you can afford business class, British Air and Lufthansa are pretty good.
The last time we flew Virgin upper class, the plane was very old and tired.
Cheers!
I enjoyed several trips on BA. It was like begin taken care of by the Queen’s people.
If you go United, don’t bring a guitar. Leave your seat when it is demanded...
haha
there is no nonstop from seattle
gonna have to to New Yawk
Yes, it is much cheaper out of London - and much more interesting. Lots of Roman roads, including one right in the middle of the Financial District. I loved Hadrian’s Wall and the Lake District is just beautiful. Beatrix Potter wrote there and her home is a museum. Great walking paths there. Wonderful Catholic history and walks in and outside of London. Have a great time. (You’ll love the glow-in-the-dark mashed peas that come with fish/ chips).
The direct flight on American from DFW was nice, even in coach. It was the 777, a great aircraft.
Be nice when you leave for London or your bags will go to Sao Paulo.
I would second the Delta recommendation. If you can afford It fly their Delta comfort product... sky priority boarding, front of the plane, more leg room, free alcoholic beverages and dedicated overhead bin space. In our experience their customer service has been top notch. On a recent flight into Indianapolis, our daughter left her cell phone on the plane, we were on the interstate away from the airport when she noticed. Went back to the Delta ticket/ check in counter and the agent personally went and retrieved it off the plane. Now I only fly Delta.
We had a wonderful round trip via British Airways. it was our third visit to the UK and was a plus experience. Crew and food were very good. I would have no hesitation flying Delta. We have also flown Aer Lingus and it too was a great flight. Non-stop is a great idea as you get sleep time.
Flying into Heathrow is great because you can take the tube into London to save $. There is also an express train station the goes to Paddington station.

My wife flew Aerlingus and really liked their service.
There are LOTS of non-stops from Seattle to London.
In Britain a ‘’bum’’ is not a down and out street person. It’s what your sit on. What we call ‘’your butt’’.
I always travel BA. It’s fine.
And a “fag” is a cigarette.
It’s changed. The hotels can be fantastic, although expensive, and there’s been a food revolution.
