"Game of Thrones" fans will be disappointed to hear that the show won't be coming back in 2018. Instead, the final season of "Game of Thrones" will air in 2019, with veterans of the series returning to play key roles behind the scenes.

I tried and threw in the towel.
A number of scenes were back dropped with contemporary wailing rock music which really doesn’t fit with a 1920’s program.
Almost stopped watching a WWI reality program for the same reason.
For your GOT ping list.
I know one thing that bothered me was the thick english accents made it difficult to understand what they were saying sometimes. I picked up enough to know what was generally going on but it was still a distraction.
WTF is right! For all I know, I could be dead by then. I hope they show reruns in heaven.
I’ve been watching it since it first started airing. Excellent series. Still have to watch Season 4. Just read that series 5 won’t be out until 2019.
Glad I dropped HBO several months ago. Their movie selections were awful.
I read that the final GoT season will have 5 or 6 episodes, but each will be longer — about 1-1/2 hours.

I hate such lengthy lulls between seasons on these cable/Netflix/AmazonPrime series.
I started watching the new season (2) of Travelers on Netflix and had zero memory of what the first season was about. I re-watched the final episode of season 1 and got sort of caught up.
I'm old so I watch everything with closed captions. It definitely makes it easier to understand what they're saying.
I started using closed captioning with DVD's. I got tired of turning the volume up to hear what they said, then having to turn it down when loud music played or the sound effects got loud. I record every TV program I watch, and keep the closed caption option on my cable box on all the time. That way I don't have to constantly rewind the program to hear it again.
Gotta agree on the Peaky Blinders. It is like “The Sopranos” set in post WW1 Birmingham England. Great show, great plot but do yourself a favor. Turn on the closed captioning so you can catch all the dialogue. It can be pretty hard to understand with the thick accents.
Several years ago I started using headphones with inline volume control for my TV. I use them primarily for the varying volume and background noise and characters who whisper. They also reduce the outside noise in my apartment complex.
I have worn out 3 sets, so far.
I've had that series in my "watch later" que for a long time but never checked it out. I take it you liked it pretty well?
Sopranos meets Downton Abbey
a new Netflix show to binge ping
I did like Travelers. Binged through season 2 in about 3 days. There wasn’t much competition on regular TV/cable.
That is one thing I like about the streaming services — they tend to put all episodes online at the same time. That makes for good binge-watching.
LOL!! I've got ear plugs that came with my Roku so I can use those with the programs I watch on Netflix, but haven't really used them yet. Closed captions works for me, especially with the number of British programs I watch. I love British programming, but they can be hard to understand. And I found that in a lot of the U.S. TV programs, it seems the actors talk fast, or mumble. Nobody enunciates anymore.
Longmire is pretty good. Stranger things is pretty good as well. Both on Netflix.
Oh’ My Gods, they killed Kevanny!
I’m doing the audio books now.

I hear the final book is coming and Im wondering if the reason they are delaying the last season is for the author to finish the final book.
could be. Was looking forward to seeing the last season, but now will have to wait.
Have seen several of the actors in other movies, which is a sure sign its moved on
Truly a great program, although I have to turn on the closed captions to understand a lot of the dialect.
