If you could have lunch with anyone in history, living or dead, who would it be?
Another vote for Winston Churchill ...
I like Churchill but I think Benjamin Franklin would be my choice
Bluto Blutarski...in a college cafeteria.
Be careful what you wish for. My wife finally met hers. One positive thing that came of it is, how glad she is her mother allowed her adoptive parents raise her. She also found out she had a boatload of brothers & sisters. She got into them all for awhile, now she doesn’t communicate with any of them.
Ditto on Churchill.
I have thought about this often.
The answer is only going to make you shake your head and laugh.
John Candy.
My two grandfathers. My father’s father died before I was born, and my mother’s father died when I was about 3 (they have a picture of me sitting on his lap).
Would have liked to have met both of them.
I admire Churchill very much, but as a lunch companion, he was a self-involved performer. “Now, Randolph, don’t interrupt Papa when he’s interrupting Mr. Eden!”
Aaron Burr, however, was cagey and mysteriously charming, they say, so I’m curious. (I’d have a chaperone, though ;-).
Probably Winston Churchill.
My father-——he died when I was 5 years old so I never really knew him.
.
The prophets Isaiah and Ezekiel.
I wouldn’t mind driving him to Chappaquiddick, as long as I knew he had cement shoes on his feet & cement gloves on his hands. 8>)
Would you eat peanut butter sandwiches? ;-)
My reunion will be in eternity. She died when I was a wee lad.
“Ted Kennedy......... (just kidding!)
“
So we could make sure he’s dead.
My grandmother.
Does anybody remember the series “Meeting of Minds” on PBS?
It was hosted by Steve Allen, and would have actors playing various historical figures sitting around a table and discussing various topics.
Take your own car. Just sayin’. (Yes I know he’s dead.)
My mom since she just died last Sept.
