Burr was apparently much in love with his wife and when she died his imagination was much exercised. He raised his daughter with a male education and was also devoted to her.
Perhaps you can explain how the current Senator Burr could be related to Aaron when the daughter and only grandson were drowned on a voyage to NYC to visit?
A fascinating account of Burr, Jefferson and Marshall is the one written by Washington Irving reporting on Burr’s trial for Treason.

I knew of Stockdale as a military dependent, and it probably sounds odd to people, but we used to discuss the various POW’s, wear bracelets, etc. (I had a Jerimiah Denton bracelet that eventually turned green and corroded off my wrist)
I was fascinated by Admiral Stockdale, even then.

You both missed the point. Although I can’t speak for all abandoned children, I suspect many would have the same or similar outlooks as me. I have an unassuaged anger toward her. Although I’ll never get answers, I yearn for them. She didn’t give me up for adoption. She just left me and my father, who promptly handed me off to one relative and caregiver after another until I was old enough to warehouse in an all girls Catholic boarding school. It was barely one step up from an orphanage and, if you’ve ever done any reading about how cold and cruel nuns could be to the children in their care, you’d know what my childhood was like. So I never wanted a relationship with my mother. I wanted answers and an outlet for my anger. I am an older woman now and she must be long gone, so it is what it is.
I would say, “Jesus,” but I’m going to meet Him anyway.
Churchill would be a very interesting meeting.

The most enjoyable lunch I could have would be with my long ago cat Charlotte. I would hold her in my lap and not let the lunch end.
Churchill had great tastes. The Savoy--a solid spot to romp and stomp!
I would like to have lunch with Frank Sinatra at the Villa Capri in Hollywood, where he often hung out. If the food there was anything like that at Patsy D'Amore's Pizzeria in Los Angeles, which is owned by the same family, that would truly be a memorable lunch.

According to a genealogy website, NC Senator Richard Burr is a descendant of a brother of Vice President Aaron Burr’s father, who was also named Aaron Burr.
Aaron Burr Sr. had two children, Fanny and Aaron, Jr. Aaron Sr. and his wife, Esther Edwards, daughter of the famous preacher Jonathan Edwards, died when their children were very young. Aaron Jr. married Theodosia Prevost, widow of a British Army officer. Their daughter, Theodosia Burr (Alston) was his only legitimate child. She and her son both died without other descendants.
Aaron Burr was a fond stepfather to several children of his wife’s first marriage. He is also believed to have illegitimate children, but the details are in dispute. He is said to have “recognized” as his own the child of any woman with whom he’d had an affair, without looking into the details too closely.
His mother’s diary, of which I have an abridged reprint edition, says that Aaron Burr was an energetic, forceful, willful, and messy child. Clearly a personality to be reckoned with, even before the trauma of losing his parents and grandparents while he was still an infant.
That was amusing, and slightly familiar, as if I might have seen it in the past.
