I would break bread with Jesus but, the last time he did that, it nearly killed him....

I would suggest a champagne lunch at the
Savoy Grill (already a Churchill favorite) and high tea later in the afternoon at
Fortnum & Masons (est. 1707).

Someone like Adolph Hitler or Joseph Stalin would be interesting - just to grill them on how crazy and evil they are/were.
...
You could probably learn a lot just by reading about them.
I don’t know much about Stalin, but I believe Hitler would have led a quiet and law abiding life it wasn’t for WWI.

I am on the eighth volume of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. Gibbon educates us about the political, military, religious and economic conditions around the Mediterranean. Long but not that tedious. I have read even his footnotes and that was hard.

“James Stockdale”
I have met him. He grew up in a dinky little town close to me along with his cousin Robert Dunlop, a friend and neighbor of my grandparents who is also a MOH recipient.

I can think of two Monroes that would be a good choice.

Did Crockett have 2 knives?
I saw his knife at the San Jacinto Battlefield Museum.
If you was it at the Alamo also, then some museum custodian is faking one of the knives.
