As smart as these scientists are, they don’t know bullets actually LEAVE cases when fired. I’ve sent a lot of rounds in my day, and I’ve never seen one leave a muzzle with the case still on it.
Bad artist - taking artist license too far.
That is so funny. Really good catch.
They don’t have diamonds in them either. The difference is I know they aren’t serious...
Looks like the artist made the error, not necessarily one of the scientists.
I noticed that too. Ella Maru needs to watch the Cartridge vs Bullet journalist tutorial.
That’s one of those just-in-case bullets
That’s probably so the average viewer can say, “Hey, that’s a bullet!”
I’ve never seen an oscillating electric fan or AC blowing plastic streamers to show that it’s on, but you see them in the movies and on TV all the time.
Merry Christmas!

Excellent. Although I did glance at that ridiculous pic, I admit I didn’t even notice the casing!
Rest assured Dude, the ‘experts’ and all the buttmunchers have unanimously testified to their extreme competence.
Billionaire Bloomberg and his “Everytown for Gun Safety”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everytown_for_Gun_Safety has often made the same mistake. Some person once handed him a revolver, and he asked, “is the safety on?”
First thing I thought too.
Of course the round casing stays on.
That’s settled balistics.
Instead of being snarky, why don’t you contact the artist and tell her? I’m sure she wants her art to be accurate, and she’s a well known science artist.

Also, a bullet is bigger than the six atoms wide they’ve drawn. You’ve caught them.
That’s not a bullet - it’s orange lipstick - it will have to be thicker than shown to stop a real bullet.....

If you were a scientist, you would be smart enough to observe that those are carbon atoms -- so the scale is totally wrong for that to be a "bullet". That isn't a bullet. It is a nanoscale "atomic force probe".
Your anti-science crap doesn't work on this scientist.
Merry Christmas!
Hope Santa brought you a brain...
