Has an alien probe entered our solar system? Cigar-shaped interstellar 'comet' Oumuamua is being investigated for signs of extraterrestrial technology
Astronomers have begun scanning an 'alien' comet for signs of extraterrestrial technology. Researchers say they are looking for radio signals, claiming the mysterious visitor could be an alien spaceship
Ping!...................
Based on the chunky shape, this may be the Volvo of alien space probes.
In before the crazy-haired guy pic.....
Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
Looks like an English cucumber. Cats beware.
It’s looking for the probe it sent back in 1995.
And what if its a million year old abandoned space vehicle?
In reality if its really alien it won’t be announced, but i bet instead a massive plan to get back to the moon and mars is announced, with a slight detour....
Coincidence Trump announces that very same agenda, makes you go hmmm....

Silly. Given the laws of physics and the incredible distances to the nearest stars, no living biological or functioning mechanical entity can reach earth. Not to say aliens don’t exist somewhere in the universe, but humans will never meet them. Conceivable however they may one day answer the radio signals sent in analog for the last 110 years and in digital form the last fifty. Those signals by now may have reached a cognizant alien civilization who has sent an reply.

Oh, forget it.
Looks like a fatty rolled by Cheech and Chong.

Hahaha! “Oumuamua” - Sounds like something Jerry Lewis would say as a gorgeous blonde walked by...
And by the way - does it have stickers like an old steamer trunk? How do they know it’s “interstellar”? Isn’t the definition of ‘comet’ something that orbits our sun?
Messier 82 (also known as NGC 3034, Cigar Galaxy or M82) is a starburst galaxy about 12 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.

"Can you hear me now?"
I hope we’re also transmitting at it, so as to “wake it up” in case it’s set to listen before it says anything. Also, while it has shown no non-Newtonian activity while within the solar system, there’s no reason that it couldn’t have done all its maneuvering prior to getting close enough to be seen, or that it won’t reorient itself again once it’s out of sight.
As for dealing with the distance, true it would have had to travel for millions of years at least to have come through known space from its point of origin, but if it really is artificial, there’s no reason its creators couldn’t have found some way to travel FTL that violates our current understanding of physics. For all we know, FTL travel could be blindingly obvious to a creature that can think in 5 dimensions (or more), or alternately is stupefyingly simple but we somehow just missed it (a la Turtledove’s “Road Less Traveled”).
It’s Bill & Hillary Clinton’s deep space transport, coming to take them back to planet Humidor, populated entirely by female interns who look like Huma Wiener, where Hillary will be named Dear Leader of the Galactic Empire, replacing Scientology’s Xenu, who is retiring to Tampa, FL.
