The first that comes to mind for me: "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial". Sappy and overly sentimental.
(And while I'm at it, "Titanic")
I second this. My least favorite movie ever. A godless and depressing sci-fi movie with outdated special effects and a terrible plot. My husband watches this and I have to be in a different room.
Chocolat or whatever it was called, with Juliette Binoche, who was supposed to transform a little Paris suburb from stick in the mud religious to freewheeling and more fun. When she pushed a delicious hot chocolate on the little boy from her shop even after he told her it was Lent and he couldnt. She said Come on, Live a little. And he took it. The movie would have been considered racist if she were pushing bacon on a little Jewish or Muslim boy. Horribly offensive to treat Christianity that way.
Anything with Ben Affleck or Steve Carell.
Polar express is the creepiest Christmas movie ever made.
I don’t like his books & I think “The Polar Express” is just a super creepy & boring movie.

Ya gotta hate any movie withing the past 20 year or so where the main character’s name is Jack or Jake or if the main character is tattooed and has an X in his first name.
Plus, any movie where there’s a significant character that’s an architect.
So overdone, so unoriginal, it literally yanks me out of any potential enjoyment that the movie might otherwise provide.
Actually any movie with Streisand in it.
Right?? If I were on a first date and the guy actually didnt think blazing saddles was funny, there is no point in staying a minute longer.
Yes it was-I was over 17 and went with a couple of cousins to see it-no way was I going there with a date-but a few years later, I did go to see Last Tango in Paris with Nemesis-and discovered I was not as worldly as I pretended-I was so absolutely mortified by some of the scenes that I wanted to run to the ladies’ room...
Reminds me of date I had where unsolicited she started going off on how much she hated Raising Arizona.
There wasnt a second date.
I too saw the first few Star Wars movies and they were ok. But seeing any more makes me think of household chores Id rather get to. I am completely missing the Star Wars and fantasy and superhero genre gene. Leaves me cold.
Considered No Country For Old Men to be profoundly disturbing.
.........
Saw the movie and thought it to be about the USA losing the southwest.
Um, my dear WD... some major blind item sites have Spielberg involved in the pedophilia Cabal. As shocking as that is, when you think of all his kid movies, it makes some sense.
Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction
Yeah, that one rates just a squeak higher than “Doctor Zhivago” or “Gone Withe The Wind”.
I thought Interstellar was mediocre at best. The ending was just like... “what?”
IMHO, Dr Zhivago is the greatest movie ever made. But having an appreciation of Russian history helps.
