I am not a native of the US north east. Yet when I worked in NYC (1974-81), I noticed the local custom of kissing on the lips as a means of hello/goodby between male and female friends. It was not the practice where I came from in the Pac NW then.

So when I see that he “leaned in to kiss her”, I need to know more. Was he practicing the local custom? Was he thinking they wanted to kiss romantically but she didn’t (who hasn’t made that mistake on a first date??) or was he starting to molest her?

So he made a move after lunch, when he was single and she was single, she turned him down and he left her alone after that and...so what? That's what men have done since time immemorial.

I know feminists believe that women must cower in terror of those dreaded creatures known as men - it's up to normal women to decide if that's the world they want to live in too. Do they really want to never have a man make an advance again? I have no idea how young single men are coping with this bizarro-world the feminists have created. As things stand, I've adopted the Mike Pence rule at work - I don't take meetings alone with women behind closed doors, ever.
