It would not surprise me, but that doesn't mean it is true.
Could somebody ensure this link works?

The GPS antenna you have and the ability to activate it remotely and tie it to your sim card is sufficient.

Nah. They use "on star" if you got a gm vehicle. At home, Alexa listens in. Or the Google command center or maybe your LG tv/flat screen. 👹

The Cell phone is not secure? Who’d a thunk it.

Not sure about your battery.
But I’m reasonably certain that the ghost of

is quite distressed by the poor grammar in your headline.

Not through the battery, but I’ve heard that the fascists can listen and view through the microphone and camera even if the phone is off. I don’t know if that’s true, but I don’t doubt it.

Quaint notion:
Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

OMG.
People do not understand how the technology works. Might as well be magic. No, it doesn't spy on you. Your cell phone tells the Feds where you are. It's built into the cell network. But mostly, nobody cares.
Electronics and RF engineer here, design RF devices (including smart meters) for a living. Ask questions.

They were capable of tracking any cell phone 20 years ago as long as the battery was in it,regardless of whether it was on or not.
I do know that every electronic device has a unique signature and if there is electrical current it can be Tracked with highly sophisticated equipment.
