Senate panel building obstruction of justice case against Trump over Comey firing, Feinstein says
The Senate’s investigation into Russian election meddling is crafting a possible obstruction of justice case against President Trump, the panel’s top Democrat said Sunday.
The case has become clearer after Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI on Friday, said Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
The panel “has an investigation going as well and it involves obstruction of justice and I think what we're beginning to see is the putting together of a case of obstruction of justice,” she told “Meet the Press.”
Trump suggested in a Saturday tweet that he “had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI.”
The just won’t stop. It may be that they need to be stopped.

You misunderstood me, my post should have said IF the dems win a majority, I agree with you that they do not stand a chance for two reasons.
1. Trump has his tax plan and growth and more jobs will be happening before the election.
2. If they release the names of the sexual predators in Congress then there will be many new faces in the legislature and most will not be dems, even if they are dems now.
(note: this is just my guess...)
feinstein carries the reputation of being a democrat stalwart and voice of reason (outside of some arenas such as gun control).
anyway, that she would say this now implies to me that the democrats are in near full panic mode.
the stock market is poised to make major gains through passage of the tax reform bill. the final major hurdle was cleared in the senate on last friday.
the democrats need to kick some dust in the air to assure the democrat true bleaters XXX believers that there is something fundamentally wrong with trump. they need to drag down the good news as much as possible. the problem is that they are out of power and the good news is overwhelming. the news does not match the democratic narrative. hence feinstein is deployed as part of a hail mary attempt to keep the stock market low in anticipation of trump impeachment (or something like that).
