The No. 8 Ohio State Buckeyes captured their first Big Ten championship since 2014 thanks to a 27-21 triumph over the No. 4 Wisconsin Badgers at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday night. The win, which was buoyed by a slew of explosive plays from the Buckeyes' speedy skill position players, figures to incite tremendous debate among the College Football Playoff selection committee in advance of Sunday's final rankings reveal.
It is really such a simple solution and make college FB the premier sporting event of the year. Every conference game would matter and the Championships would actually be the first round.
Which team will allow the networks to charge more for ads?
That’s all that matters.
You lose your championship and you are out. Tough luck.
Because you refuse to see, because of personal bias. OSU racked up 449 yrs against the top defense in all of college football by ypg (WIS).

Because you refuse to see Wisconsin’s schedule ..... LOL. That would make any defense look great. The best win they had all year was an average Michigan team.
Auburn had 2 losses and was ranked #1before losing to #6. So clearly they don’t mind having a two loss team in the top 4.
Maybe you can’t read because your bias blinds you. But the teams you listed did not win since osu won the national title in the first ever playoff.
Now go back and read my original comment you replied to and try again.
Quality wins have to be taken into consideration as do horrible losses. If Alabama lost to a 7-5 team by 31 points, there is no way they would be in the discussion.
It’s not just about who you played, it’s about what you did when you played them.
Honestly, I won’t lose sleep on this either way. Neither team is overly deserving of getting in. The other three deserve to be there.
If Bama won the sec title with 2 losses one of them against another sec team but they were blown out... So you really think they wouldn’t be in the final 4?
I agree. I'm about ready to give #13 a good shake-out.
I believe Alabama's schedule (favorably)distorted their stats too.
Can you imagine the uproar if all of the other sports teams’ (besides college football): coaches, schools and owners, professional and college, were to receive letters that basically said:
“We have decided that there will no longer be playoffs.
We decree that we will decide who plays in the championship game.”
Until they have playoffs like every other sport, professional and college, the NCAA college football “championship” is BS.
Live selection of teams on ESPN:
Clemson #1 [12-1]
Oklahoma #2 [12-1]
Georgia #3 [12-1]
Oklahoma will play Georgia
Alabama #4 [11-1]
Clemson will play Alabama
{developing ...}
Clemson will crush Bama.
Looks like college football is going back to the old days.... They will support the sec and give them a leg up.
Amen
I would have put UCF in.
But, putting OSU would have been an embarrassment. And, the BCS selection committee agreed.
Then why did Oklahoma kick the Big Ten champ's behinds on their home field by 16 points?
