Just finished up Season 6 over the Thanksgiving week. Generally, I thought the characters were interesting and the clash of culture also made for interesting story telling.
My only criticism would be all the stupid things the Sheriff's department did in Season 5.
Nonetheless; great series and the timing of it coming to a close was just about right. (Unlike "Lost")
Really enjoyed Longmire. With so many “soap series” being put up for viewing, nice to have some action and suspense. Had a good ending with season six and enjoyed the characters. A good mix.
I stopped watching after about 4 episodes. How many murders can there be in a small town? And a shelf has no jurisdiction where he was staying people.
We binge watched the whole sixth season. It has a nice ending.
We loved the series too. We are about half way through the 6th season. I must admit Vic is the one character I didn’t care for. I know the book series has her and Walt together but I have a hard time seeing that in the tv version. I liked him better with the doctor lady.
So did I and really enjoyed it.
We are so trying NOT to binge watch... now we hear others have and it’ll be harder not to with time on our hands this weekend.
“It has a nice ending.”
Hated the big ending. Liked how the other story lines were tied up.
We just watched season 5 on DVD from netflix. Where was season 6 shown?
Season 6 has been streaming on Netflix for the last week.
Haven’t watched Longmire yet. Seen Godless? Watched two episodes and Jeff Daniels character is so evil
Ok thanks.
We didn’t sign up for streaming.
I’ll watch it. Not a great show, but a good one. I still think it’s funny that Walt is an Aussie.
Good show, but my wife and I didnt care for the final coupling. Didnt want to see Vic end up with who she did.
Yes, it was a pretty good send off. Some of it was predictable but I am not sure there was a better way to close out some of the character stories. Vic? What a hot mess.
Residents must carry a gun to protect against polar bears (which can considerably outnumber them), employment is mandatory as theres no welfare system, residents abusing drugs and alcohol are kicked out of the community, and you cant give birth or die there.
Try to find ‘Fortitude’:

We loved Longmire. He was a Marshal Dillon sort of character. I appreciated the scarcity of foul language. Nary an F word to be heard. Gratuitous sex and foul language spoil many programs for me.
now that the series is at an end I hope the creative team comes up with another series. my Personnel belief is that 5-7 seasons for a series after that it goes stale and you end up wasting the writing and acting talent on the series.
