SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. A Massachusetts woman is still recovering more than a week after a pit bull bit her while she was waiting to check in for a flight.
Brittany Langlois was standing in the check in line for JetBlue at the Orlando Airport before her flight back home when a pit bull tore at her leg.
The line kept moving and the next thing I know I am bit, Langlois said. I turn around and the owner is reeling the dog back in.
Langlois was with her girlfriend Heather Cox and the couple immediately tried to find out if the pit bull was up to date on its shots. The JetBlue representative told them the dog was an emotional support dog.
Pedro said, I have both your reservations, yours and the other passenger, but I cannot legally give you that information, Langlois said.
Back in Southbridge, Langlois took pain medication and antibiotics. She had a 10-day window to start a series of painful rabies shots, but after Newscenter 5 inquired, JetBlue released a statement saying the pit bulls owner was not a JetBlue passenger.
The unknown individual refused to cooperate and immediately exited the terminal with the dog, the statement said.
We called police and we were told it wasnt a police matter, Cox said. It was a JetBlue matter.

Muslims trump ADA. There have been Muslim taxi drivers refusing to take passengers with dogs, alcohol and beer.
I have seen pit bulls masquerading as support dogs in very crowded public places and on board public transportation. I get nervous getting close to pit bulls that I don’t know.
“Whats your beef? I normally travel with my two comfort roosters! “
Hens make better comfort pets. And you get your breakfast served too!
“Sue them. If they wont provide information on the responsible party, they ARE the responsible party.”
They released a statement saying the person was not a passenger.
How presumptous are these folks... that others won't mind, or don't have allergies, or will think nothing of being coated in dog hair? Oh and what's a little dog bite.
Glad I don't need to fly anymore. It's off-putting enough when people take their pets shopping. An aircraft is a confined space. Now parents have to worry about a pitbull in the next seat eyeing their tasty toddler.
The world is literally going to the dogs.
Concerning the days before the Messiah:
"The face of the generation will be like the face of a dog".
Dogs. In you face. This stuff is way more literal than people think.
"...Muslims on flights..."
Point is, how safe do you feel having Moslems and PBTs at your airports - and on your airplanes?
My best hope would be the PBT would go postal on the Moslem before he brings down the plane!
Muslims yell 'allah snackbar' before the attack, this pitbull saw the pair, and then said 'WOOF WOOF' before the bite.
“”I have a family member who flies frequently and says airplane cabins are being turned into a barnyard “”
I’ve heard that’s what all flights to the HAJ are like - every goat, chicken and pig goes with the family...I guess NO DOGS!
I'm considering getting a comfort baboon. . . no, a Gorilla. That's it. A comfort Gorilla. He'll take down any muggers I may encounter and that surely is a comfort to me.
She’ll need those rabies shots after getting a look at her “girlfriend”...... Have no doubt the bite itself is quite painful and certainly unnecessary!
And what’s with the leg or whatever that looks like a chicken after it’s been plucked...a shaved leg???? YIKES!
But that is not what they said before.
So when were they lying?
“But that is not what they said before.”
It was not what SHE said PEDRO said.
With a purchased seat for the seeing eye dog.
THIS is a support animal.
That dog needs an emotional support dog.
Keep your emotional support fox away from my emotional support coyote, if you know what's good for him!
I saw a story on the frequent flyer web site several years ago about a passenger in First Class who had a pony onboard as a support animal.
No, the couple with the pit bull, technically only one may have been flying, they were only in the check-in line. But of course this is deliberately not being helpful to the person attacked.
They are making laws now that businesses cannot question if a dog is truly amsupport or therapy dog. It is insane.
