Neither the vest from the accredited training program nor the certificate are required under the ADA. The ADA says anyone can train their dog, or miniature horse, to perform a task that mitigates or helps them with their disability. Professional training is not required. ADA also specifically prohibits cities, merchants and others from requiring proof that a dog is a service dog. It allows, in fact, only two questions. Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? What work or task has the dog been trained to perform? Service dog owners may not be asked about the nature of their disability. They may not be required to provide documentation of the dogs training. Nor may they be asked to demonstrate the work the dog is trained to do.

I saw one of those at a fair once. They had a regular miniature horse down in a strangely shaped stall, so that the perspective makes it look much smaller than it is.
Yes, me too.
Sad thing is that was the HIGHLIGHT of the evening.
Hey, I’m not saying anyone should be able to take an untrained dog anyplace they want; I’m just saying that the stupid-assed health Nazis won’t even let you take a dog to a farmer’s market for cryin’ out loud.
I see people bringing dogs into stores of all kinds these days. One of these days, though, an animal attack is going to happen, and a lawsuit is gonna slam the door shut. Eventually, I predict there will be registration of service animals.
After researching; it appears people can scam their way into making you allow them to have a pet in your rental property this way.
Even if you don’t allow pets.
Would the peaceful Muslim shoot the infidels first or the dog first?
I'm not sure if the HOLY KORAN covers that question so it would probably just be personal preference as long as the infidels are killed.
Again a true service dog is very well trained..... they do not cause trouble or disruption no matter the circumstances. If your animal is intrusive or disruptive others can demand its removal
I don’t care, everyone should be allowed a dog, if they control it it should be allowed in public spaces. All dogs are service dogs.
I don't like animals in restaurants, period...
if people bring them in, I quickly exit...
of course my rights are nothing apparently......
I already give the evil eye to people parking in handicap spots...they jump out and practically run into the casino...
My daughter’s roommate had her doctor dad write say that she needed an emotional support animal in the dorm in college. They dog was an untrained puppy, and the girl would be gone 8 hours a day with school and work, and my daughter would end up taking the dog out and playing with it because she felt so bad for the dog. The colleges supposedly cannot deny the kids the emotional support animals.
The following year, my daughter had an autistic roommate who had a service animal. Both the dog and the autistic girl had been thoroughly trained, and there were never any issues. When I visited, the dog just ignored me. Never barked. Did not really notice it except it was large.
I have a daughter with a brain injury who is very attached to our dog. Our dog calms her down when she is stressed. She used to have terrible meltdowns when she had a bad day, and when we got our dog she just would cuddle with the dog on a bad day. She is also not a very sociable kid and has a tendency to stay in her room too much. Walking the dog, got her outside and visiting with neighbors.
She’s away at college, and I’ve thought about getting her doctors to say she needs an emotional support animal for her, but we all agree it would be too much work for her right now, and it wouldn’t be good for a dog.
I have a dog, and I don’t agree with this.
Are you claiming it was a fake dog or a fake service dog? There is a difference.
Now that's a service animal!
Even if that service dog is helping a vet?
Well we have Daisy, she is a service dog.She belongs to Kelly-made up name.I met Kelly when she was a teen through a TV show. She joined the Marines and was 1st wave in Iraq.Jeep was in accident, she has brain injuries and lives on base. She travels with Daisey all over the world.Every town Kelly goes in she is greeted by fellow Marines and they take care of everything.
Then we have bones whose a runt. His owner is my Granddaughter. She was 2nd wave in Iraq.Has PTSD and other things.Bones doesn’t wear a harness but he is still a service dog.She had to sleep in her car after driving 3 hours for a VA appointment the next day because the motel would not accept her service dog.I get it.
Attacked, not killed.
I remember a time, when no one brought dogs into public stores or restaurants. I worked in supermarkets long ago. Blind people did not run into things in stores, although they did accept some help finding some items to buy. Schools for the blind are great. I have walked across streets with some. They replied with thanks and made me feel useful.
Your dog smokes? Awesome!
