Make the lead black and lesbian as well as female, and you’ve got the current formula for a winner. /S
That worked do well for Ghostbusters.
If this one doesn’t succeed, perhaps they will come back with Jack Bauer as a transgender.
Hillary Clinton solving international plots at subversion of US elections with her tidy bowl clean server.
She isn’t above the law. She is the whole of the law.
New on FOX
Maybe it’s meant to be a sacrificial lamb. Elaborate, expensive Virtue Signaling. If it works, fine, but they don’t expect it to work. Producing such a series will be a PC feather in FOX’s cap. They can then say ‘We tried, we really tried, but the public wouldn’t support our progressive ideas!”
I am triggering! I want to see Moana Bauer, the Pacific Islander Female who saves the country from terror! Why didnt they even CONSIDER the Island Americans??? I promise Guam will not tip over even after they blow up a ton of Semtox!
Plus this will give Tony a wonderful selection of potential girlfriends.
Hollywood is just full of new ideas /S
The new 24 with the black dude was barely watchable...
NCIS seems to have figuired out how to expand that format by building their shows on different characters with interesting story lines...
24 feet?
Kevin Spacey as Keyser Söze. Oh, wait . . .
I watched 24 because Jack Bauer was a good, interesting character and Keifer Sutherland did a great job playing the role.
It wasn’t because he was white or male, it was because he was a complex character, well-acted by a good actor.
It also wasn’t because of the gimmicky “ticking clock” format either.
Make a good show about interesting characters with a good plot and people will watch it.
Make an SJW commercial that checks every box for diversity, and no amount of gimmicks or spin will get people to tune in.
Another strong independent woman who can do a spin kick and knock out guys taller, stronger and who have 100 pounds on her. Yeah I’ve seen that already. My give a care meter is hovering at zero.
24 was great. The remake, the one with BlackJack, stunk. I mean, it was dreadful. Gripping lines such as “don’t make me go Jihad on yo’ azz...”
The proposed one sounds even worse.
There is already something like that... Called “First 48”.
Oh, I can’t wait to see some extremely hot 95-pound woman kick the ass of five biker dudes, who happen to be white supremacist terrorists working secretly for Vladimir Putin, while also knowing how to fly F-22s, handle shoulder-fired rockets, and save a room full of black and hispanic hostages, all while wearing yoga pants.
My nit to pick with 24 is that the CTU had intel so extraordinary that they knew when a person of interest was sneezing.
So how come they couldn’t use some of that intel to better screen their new hires. It seems that every season they had a mole in CTU.
I don’t know, how about instituting a new hiring process developed by a new HR department.
Annie Wersching, who played Renee Walker in seasons 7-8 weighs in....
@Wersching
Uhhhhhhh.....
LOL. Guess she’s not happy that they waited this long to do it when they could have had a series starring her character.
What they really should do is mimic the old NBC Mystery Movie concept, where they rotated between McCloud, Columbo, and McMillan and Wife and something else. This gave each show a month to produce an episode, which allowed for greater quality. They could rotate between different CTU locations, each with its own cast. Each weekly story would center on a different CTU (and cast), and each would face some terrorist crisis which would play out over the course of a week (within the 2-hour nightly movie time limit).
Prominent guest stars would be featured each week, either as the target or the baddie. Each CTU might have a different story focus. For example, the Washington DC CTU could focus on threats to the President, Congress, and SCOTUS. A New York City CTU could focus on financial cybercrimes, and Boston-NYC-Chicago threats. An LA CTU would focus on AsiaPac terror. A heartland CTU could focus on homeland and/or international intrigue stories. Or maybe make one a British CTU to focus on European stories.
Instead of each episode being one hour of a 24 episode drawn out story, make each episode a self-contained story that occurs within the week, and rotate the shows each week. This way, we'd return to the first team after one month for a fresh story.

24 BLM was unwatchable, this one will surpass it.
They could bring back Jack, but he's sold out to a liberal script on a show no one watches anymore so ....JUST LET IT GO
