The Pentagon recommended that women be required to register for the draft to boost military enrollment, according to a Defense Department report addressed to Congress. The report, obtained by the Washington Times, said the Selective Service System would increase enrollment by 11 million people if the U.S. required women to sign up for the draft.

What draft? We have a volunteer military. We don’t need to start registering all women for draft status. Its totally unnecessary. Its just more PC driven BS.

Many of the people advocating for endless war will never serve themselves and will never encourage their children to serve. Immigrants and the children of the "lower classes" will have to fill the ranks.
And here I’d hoped we were finished with this obunghole crap.

And we will see the usual chorus of curmudgeons proclaiming that women want equality so they should be drafted. The idiotic part there is that the ones they are mad at would love to be drafted mostly.
But to get revenge on them, you’ll be sticking it to good little traditionally American Christian girls who want to start families and careers and have nothing in their childhood to prepare them for being a solder.
Only a louse and a dumbass would want to see normal girls living in a barracks, or in the even worse situations that a soldier endures. It weakens the military unit, and its not good for society.
This is especially true since all of our wars today are chessboard wars of convenience today. This isn’t a fight for our survival.
I don’t see how we can avoid it since we’re stretching our volunteer forces to the limit.

We avoid it by not having more elective wars of convenience. Niger for example.
If you have a shortage of volunteer forces, that is the citizenry voting on your wars. So if you have a shortage, raise pay until you have enough willing to fight in a war where America faces no danger. Maybe a PFC needs to see an offer of 80k a year, I don’t know.
But a draft is them not willing to pay the market wage, so they decide to take you against your will.
This country doesn’t have the greatest record with drafts when people are not behind the war in question.
