Ive been hearing from news reporters for major news organizations, who ask, Whats in the new JFK files? Is there a smoking gun?
The answer is no. There is no one piece of evidence in the 113,00 pages of JFK records scheduled to be released by October 26, 2017, that will change peoples minds...
But the new JFK files, if released in their entirety, will fill in the two key gaps in the JFK assassination story that have long been obscured by government misconduct, official secrecy, and lazy journalism.
Think of the JFK assassination story as an incomplete mosaic. The new files help complete the picture in two ways.
The new files shed light on the CIAs use of Lee Oswald for intelligence purposes before November 22, 1963. They also illuminate the illegal actions of government officials to conceal the CIAs manipulation of Oswald and its plot to kill Fidel Castro in late 1963....
The CIAs Use of Oswald:
The new files strengthen the claimlong denied by the CIA and mainstream news organizationsthat the agency used accused assassin Lee Oswald for intelligence purposes.
Part of the story was brought to light the JFK review board in the 1990s when they released, a complete version of one of the agencys many pre-assassination cables on Oswald. It was prepared by Jame Angletons Counterintelligence Staff on October 10, 1963.
More of the story is coming in the testimony of Orest Pena, a New Orleans bar owner who said he saw Oswald in the company of a senior FBI agents in the summer of 1963. The Pena testimony was not included in the first batch of National Archives releases last week.
The newly-declassified financial records of the CIA front group, the Cuban Revolutionary Council, are also relevant, as Larry explains at The New JFK Show Blog. In his turn as a public supporter of Castro in the summer of 1963, Oswald had repeated contacts with people associated with the CRC. I will be writing more about these records in comings weeks.
Meanwhile, intelligence historian John Newman has already begun to use the new files to develop the granular knowledge of CIA covert operations and cryptonyms necessary to tell this story.
The Criminal Cover-up:
The JFK release last week includes a great deal of material about Russian defector Yuri Nosenko, who claimed to have seen Oswalds KGB file. The veracity of Nosenkos claims in the face of CIA interrogation is a key issue that requires deeper analysis, as Newsweek has already reported.
Key documents to come include the still-unreleased testimony of Angleton to the Church Committee on September 12, 1975.
Also important are the operational files of CIA officers hostile to JFK who were involved in assassination operations including Bill Harvey, David Phillips, and Howard Hunt.
None of these files were included in the first Archives release.
Why did Oswald murder Officer Tippits?
Where was the second shooter firing from?
High ground. Target moving on a predictable track at 10 mph. And you somehow know that Oswald intended a “perfect head shot” because 1 out of 3 bullets hit. Magic thinking. Wow!
Herding cats....
A larger problem for that theory is Morris Childs. Operation Solo.
Our most valuable spy in the entire Cold War.
Personal friend of the Soviet leadership.
In the Kremlin with his Soviet pals when the news of the assassination hit. They were as shocked as we were, and they were as occupied in trying to guess who had done it as we were. One of the few things that we knew for certain in the days right after the killing was that the Soviets were not involved.
On November 22, 1963, I was in the 6th grade. I still cannot comprehend how, in no less than 6 hours, the major news outlets all had Lee Harvey’s complete bio. The CIA cover story has worked for 54 years.

Sorry, double post
There’s plenty of doubt about who murdered Officer Tippits.

How did Oswald kill Tippit and enter the theatre at the same time when they are a few miles away? And he was on foot. Three eye witnesses put the time of the killing at 1:06pm and two place him at the theater between 1:07 and 1:15.
Oh, they apparently had his name and an (Agency) physical description of Oswald within minutes to track him down.
The Dallas Police tell us Oswald left the shells from his revolver and his jacket (wrong size) at the crime scene of the Officer Tippett’s murder. And to make sure the police and the FBI had enough good evidence, it seems he left his wallet, as well. Then they had a dozen plus police cars waiting for him at the theatre.
Highly efficient -those Dallas Police. Likely had a GPS chip in his head.
“How did Oswald kill Tippit and enter the theatre at the same time when they are a few miles away?”
He didn’t. That’s conspiracy theory stupidity. Oswald shot Tippits at 1:15. He was seen ducking into the Texas Theater just after 1:30. The two sites are only 1.2 miles away, and the average unhurried walking pace for an adult is over one mile in 20 minutes.
“Theres plenty of doubt about who murdered Officer Tippits.”
There were a dozen witnesses total. Some saw him shoot Tippits, others saw him run from the shooting, some saw him hide in the Texas Theater where he was captured. And he had the revolver used to kill Tippits in his pocket. A revolver that he had purchased. He was in a police lineup that same afternoon and the witnesses picked him as the shooter.
Oswald was arrested for the murder of Officer Tippits, not for killing Kennedy as most people assume. He wasn’t charged with President Kennedy’s murder until the next day.
Compelling evidence. But in Conspiracyland, there’s always an excuse, no matter how flimsy.
I not a conspiracy guy but it does seem odd that they knew more about LHO within hours than we know now about Steven Paddock weeks after the fact.
And the case against LHO is like swiss cheese, full of holes. The pre-assassination work is enough evidence to discredit his action as a sole actor.
And the sweep up gets messier with each new release of data.
Oswald’s camera disappearance is a very shoddy manipulation of evidence. That would be the very unusual miniature camera logged into evidence by the Dallas PD, only to be disappeared for two months courtesy of the FBI for months.
Top Minox III - Bottom Minox C
“A check of the serial number 2339303 proves that the camera is indeed
a Minox C, a camera first manufactured six years after the
assassination, and the current production model at the time of the
HSCA. (Serial numbers for the model C range between 2300101 and
2473694).
Why would the House Select Committee ask Marina to identify
a camera that couldn’t have possibly belonged to her husband???”
http://www.whokilledjfk.net/oswald5.htm
But they declared he was a lone wolf and circulated the blurry photo with his eyes shut for the first 48 hours so that everyone could help with the case.
And there’s no security tape from the hotel; therefore he acted alone.
And the timeline changes to ensure it upholds a solitary shooter.
And that’s their story and they’re sticking to it.
You mean Conspiracyland doesn’t know that the Minox camera in question belonged Michael Paine? tsk tsk, and here we thought you all were investigative wizards. The Dallas PD had picked up Paine’s Minox light meter as well as the leather case for his camera. They mistook the light meter for the camera itself, an easy mistake since they are very similar in shape. Pics of them are at this link:
http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/russ/minox.htm
“He {Paine} owns a Minox camera and that camera is at his home in Irving, Texas. Several years ago he dropped this camera in salt water off the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and after retrieving it, soaking it in kerosine and cleaning same, it appeared to be in good working condition. Thereafter, someone bent the shutter by pulling the lens out too far, and, to the best of his knowledge, it is not now in working condition. He stated that he did have some cans of film, and that some of them were probably exposed film, but that the pictures made on this film were at least five years old. He stated that he had a case for the camera and other accessories including a light meter. He stated that when the police came to his house on November 22, 1963, they took the entire contents on a drawer containing photographic equipment which included the items mentioned above with the exception of the camera. He stated that this camera was in his garage at that time and that although he mentioned the camera to the police, they did not seem interested in it. He stated that he is sure Lee Harvey Oswald never used this camera, and he is of the opinion that it is not in working condition at the present time.”
Oswald murdered Dallas police officer Tippits 45 minutes after Kennedy was shot. That is what he was arrested for, shortly after 12:30. They had a lot of time to interrogate him. He wasn’t charged with killing Kennedy until the next day.
I ama conspiracy nut, but I admit OPswald had time to do all of the movements after the shooting till the theatre. There as special n the Discovery Channel or History and they tested various routes he might have taken. The timing worked out on every option.
Look up James Files on YouTube. He was the actual shooter who killed JFK. CIA/mob hit via LBJ/various other Texas oil men.
I challenge anyone to watch James Files interviews and see if it doesn’t close the case for you.
“Loogie” was the correct nomenclature back in 7th grade.
