FORMER child star Corey Feldman has been hit with a drugs charge just days after he spoke out about sexual abuse in Hollywood.
The 46-year-old, who starred in films including The Goonies and The Lost Boys as a teenager, was due to perform with his band in Louisiana, USA, before being arrested by police.
He was charged with one count of possessing marijuana and one count in regard to a traffic violation, according to local reports in Richland Parish.
The News-Star reported that the actor turned musician was not held in jail overnight but that he will likely have to pay a fine.
He was due to perform at the nearby Live Oaks Bar & Balloroom but in a Facebook post earlier today the venue said that: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Corey Feldman show has been cancelled.
"We would like to apologise for the cancellation. He will still be coming to hangout and it's totally free".
Local reports suggest six other individuals were also charged at the time of Feldman's arrest.
The arrest happened a few days after Feldman spoke out against sexual abusers in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
Writing on social media on Thursday, he detailed his alleged experiences while a child star in Hollywood.
It isn't the first time he has spoken out about the issue and alleges that a paedophile abused him and other child stars.

Corey Feldman and his bandmates got pulled over in their RV en route to play a show ... which led to arrests and drug charges.
Feldman's crew was reportedly headed to a gig at Live Oak's Bar and Ballroom in Monroe, LA Saturday night when they got busted for speeding in Mangham. According to law enforcement ... Corey's driver's license was suspended, and cops found a small amount of marijuana upon searching the vehicle.
Feldman was arrested and taken to the Richland Parish jail, but was reportedly released after paying a small fine for speeding and weed possession.

That was IT? Oh, how stupid. I really didn’t realize it was only pot. It seems like a deliberate little Shut up dig, doesn’t it? I had assumed it was coke or opiates. Glad it wasn’t, and I hope he can stay safe and help to expose this dirty industry.
We may need to step up and publicly call for more child work laws. Not one second of a working child’s life should be spent with any adult when the child’s parent (PARENT, not “or guardian”) is not in the room. Period. If the parent can’t make the set that day, the child doesn’t work that day. It’s got to be a zero tolerance thing, or get dwarves to play kids.

That is a really mean comment. I care about Corey Feldman. I feel really sorry that he went through what he did at the hands of demons in Hollywood. He’s been sounding the alarm for a long time. Try to understand the position he’s in. These people protect their own, the good ones AND the bad ones.
Yeah so, he gets busted for a little pot. You cannot tell me it’s a coincidence. Message sent.

I didn’t think marijuana possession was illegal in California?
First of all, a small town cop wanted to make a HUGE arrest.
Second, I’ve never heard of paying a fine at a police station without going through the courts.
Nevermind.

Police usually look into drug possession when there is a traffic violation and the circumstances seem appropriate. Here, in Louisiana, unfortunately for him, his circumstances probably seemed appropriate.
It is amazing how many huge drug busts they make after stopping someone for a traffic violation on the interstates.
